The warhammer skulls (annual warhammer gaming event) reveals 2 days ago were very good. I've been enjoying the playtest for the speed freeks game recently.

Also his warband killed a bunch of salamanders and salvaged their terminator armour so I suppose @40kskool68 may not like him very much
Found this in @Dietsoda's profile. Oh yes. you are very right Dietsoda. Grrrrrr, I do not like this Talos Valcorian. Wasting perfectly good terminator armor on serving a pack of ravenous Chaos gods with piles of corpses? What a jerk!

Also, a side note; I have never read a warhammer novel.
Warhammer novels are pretty good but I've mostly been reading the well known series' such as eisenhorne, cain and of course, Night lords.
Also they use the armour to kill xenos which you may like as a salamanders fan.

Yah, but why couldn't the Salamanders use that armor to kill xenos? 😭 Also what type of xenos? Just kinda curious.
Oh and one more thing. Above any other Salamanders rival I wanna kill Fabius Bile.
1) That's a dumb name. You might as well go the whole hog and call him Fabius Brownish-greenish-digestive-fluid.
2) GW just won't let him die. There actually was an author writing for them who tried to kill off Bile, but no. They wouldn't let it happen. Heresy!
3) He keeps cloning Ferrus Manus and then killing the clones. Come on.
The xenos were aeldari

Also I agree all emperor's children deserve to be not alive.

I could probably answer most basic questions people have about warhammer. Probably. although I know nothing about the meta or good combos and such

Alright so I have some questions about warhammer. First of all how exactly do you play it, like I’m pretty sure it’s a tabletop RPG but I don’t know the specifics of it. Or what you do besides fight people. Also since it’s a tabletop game I’d assume you need dice to play right? Because I’ve started playing DND with some friends, and I’m probably going to buy my own dice set. And I was wondering if those same dice could be used for warhammer, or do you need different ones?
It's similar to a tabletop rpg but you control armies made up of units with stats. There isn't much to do other than fighting and building/painting the miniatures but you could make lore and such for your armies. They don't require any type of dice other than the trusty d6 so you shouldn't need more dice (probably).
Sounds interesting, what are the specific stats that the armies have? Also I’ve seen a little bit of warhammer stuff on YouTube shorts, and it seems like there’s different factions of sorts in the game. Are these people those factions created by players or are they part of the game.
There is a large group of factions to choose from and multiple game systems. I would suggest going to https://www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Home?_requestid=4975223 and looking at warhammer 40,000 for sci-fi and warhammer age of sigmar for fantasy. (There are others, they don't matter)
There would then be a bar on the side (or a bar that says refine if you are on mobile) All the factions are shown on the side bar (or refine) under (for 40k) space marines, armies of the imperium, armies of chaos and xenos armies or (for aos) the 4 grand alliances.

New box set!!

I believe the tau should get a second faction for tau auxiliaries. This would be where the only tau you can bring are pathfinders, fire warriors, a leader unit or two and maybe stealth suits. It would then have all the current kroot units with maybe an extra one or two units. Then follow this with more races with 2-3 infantry some elite and a leader unit or two.

Astra millitarum: at least it isn't a hoard of tanks and instead artillery in the box. As an army I think the boxes for astra millitarum should have upgrade kits just with heads and smaller details so you could make other regiments.
Admec: from what I've heard the combat patrol is actually only around 300 points and is just the start collecting but with 1 mini swapped out. As an army admec are fine, although I've heard they are a complicated army to play.
Tau: I personally only really like Tau infantry and may have at least point made plans for an army of sheild walls and fire warriors. The combat patrol is decent though. You could make a decent kill team out of it and the mech is very good at murder. I will talk of my problem with the tau later.
Chaos marines: the patrol is decent I think. As a faction csm is decent but the specific legions are better. They almost made my 1st army be heretics tough so...
Space marine box 1: Ultramarines: should be raven guard seeing as it is focused on stealth.
Sisters of battle: some of the unit sizes are wrong and all the models are monopose. This is because it'd just a remake of an old 8th/7th edition army box. As a faction, they're fine.
Drukhari: at least the box is focused on the kabalites, the one part of the army I like. Very speed. Personally I hate the drukhari as they are the aeldari who caused slannesh's birth.
Vottan: once again I like infantry too much but this box is decent. It has speed, Melee and ranged so decent. I don't really have an opinion on the vottan though.
Daemons: only has khorne. It is basically just the khorne start collecting with 10 dogs and the blood throne (which can be built as a skull cannon and herald of khorne) is replaced with a herald of khorne. Skullcannon is better as it is the only khorne ranged unit. Each of the chaos gods should get their own combat patrol.
Grey knights: infantry good, baby carrier bad
Space marines 2: dark angels: decent box but not enough infantry. Now the lion is back they can have him lead them so, that's fairly cool.
Necrons: no necron warriors. It only has deathmarks and/or immortals (same kit). The croissant is decent and the overlord is cool. The infinite and the divine is a good book.
Space marines 3: blood angels: Why split the squads into 5
Genestealer cults: box looks decent. One of their boxes can be purchased to get the older cadian infantry and a heavy weapon.
Orks: I hate deffcoppters for 8th edition. Deff dread is better killer kan. Overall, painful.
Thousand sons: too many tzangors and no rubric marines. As a faction they are great and would be my next choice if I wasn't doing craftworlds.
Space marines 3: space wolfs: decent?
Craftworlds: good. The wraith lord is very good and can capture objectives. Bikes are fast. Craftworlds is a good faction. They left before slannesh.
Death guard: my friend would like it for the poxwalker hoards but they are just bad and die easily.

What's your opinion on each of the combat patrols and the factions in general?
(I'll say mine after someone else does)
That Picture Reminds Me Of This

I dont see how it remind you this by the way?
They Are Both Toys On Rocks
Wrong, factually incorrect. Completely wrong. Not toys, miniatures. They aren't on rocks, they are on fake rocks.

Because Lion El'Jonson HAS RETURNED!
One of the greatest heroes of the Imperium of Man is returning to the great war. Lion El'Jonson, primarch of the Dark angels, will arrive soon. He's got an awesome new model and couldn't have chosen a better time, with the Arks of Omen series going strong. He's s even getting his own book in the series!
So excited about this I just had to share. Spread the excitement around, you know!

10th Ed likely to be in summer aswell. I hope they also release old world this year as its the 40th anniversary of warhammer fantasy battles and warhammer as a whole.
Also I hope in 4 odd years when the next load of books in a narrative event occur the one xenos faction they decide to care about at the time is aeldari craftworlds. Half of their named characters are outdated models.
Old world seems to be about ready to launch. It is a good time. And I agree about the aeldari. Arks of omen has mostly been orks and t'au (i hate t'au). Seems like a long time since eldar got attention.
What are your thoughts on 10th edition? Its exciting. Although it looks like we may lose strategems. Kind of a bummer.
We also may be losing alot of ap from units but the potential for more modle releases and less op marines makes it tempting. The tyranid fan part of me is excited for the new models but the aeldari part is dreading the fact it will probably be another 15 years until they get an update XD.
Seriously though. Half of their important units (aspect warriors) have 15 year old lead minis and 4/9 of the named craftworld characters are probably 20 odd years old. When the next load of books release I hope that instead of doing the 1 xenos as like Vect or some squat they do Asurmen. Or Karandras.

What is Warhammer?
Ok so it's hard to explain but I probably can. You basically buy plastic miniatures and build them, paint then and then get to play the game. It plays simular to risk but with alot more aspects. You play on a board with your army of miniatures and your opponent's. Each unit had different rules using stats such as movement (in inches), wounds (how many hits they can take), weapon skill (The number you need to roll to hit enemies in melee), ballistic skill (The number you need to roll to hit enemies while shooting), strength, toughness (both are used to see if you wound/get wounded by enemies for their successful hits), leadership (to see how likely it is they run away). All weapons then have stats ontop of that. There are also video games and books.
TL;DR: A game where you get armies of plastic miniatures, build and paint them, then play with them.

Are we talking about Lost Crusade or Freeblade or both?
Wait have u played lost crusade? What'd you think?
i just downloaded it and you reminded me to try it
It's quite fun. Watch out for cash grabs by the creators though, many buttons lead you to the shop

Tacticus is great and free.

Couldn't this be done on space for anything?
Well, most people wouldn’t understand so I think it would be best for a seperate topic.
So what do you know about warhammer?
It’s a MMO strategy game that’s on mobile and apparently has stunning visuals. I haven’t downloaded it yet

Technically but thats one aspect. The original warhammer is a tabletop game where you build and paint miniatures and then fight other players with them. There are also books and video games like the total war warhammer series or dawn of war.

What if some people become warhammer fans? How would that make you feel when this statement becomes irrelevant?
