Fixing MKDS Retro Selection

(important note this is not a collab project every collab project I tried to make recently failed lmao)
For those who don't know, Mario Kart DS was my first video game, and as much as I will always have it in my heart we can all agree that MKDS Retro Tracks sucks
When I say it sucks, it's as much for the selection as for the "remakes" themselves, and that's really one of the biggest flaws of MKDS imo
I just had a possibly interesting idea, asking which tracks everyone here would have liked to see in a "fixed" MKDS Retro Selection, so we can all make our MKDS Retro Selection, and a final track list at the end ^^
Well, I guess you can just list every track you want to see here (like GCN Peach Beach, N64 Toad's Turnpike etc...) or even make a complete track list
Just consider the fact that I'm going to stick to 4 tracks per game, but the order isn't important (like a SNES track can now be the 2nd, 3rd or 4th track of a cup)
Also I know i'm not clear at all so you can ask anything if you have a doubt on something if anyone ask "anything if you have a doubt on something" they'll get a warning ok ? 😈

- He actually doesn't have a real account, the one that got banned was made by the staff
- Also you need a ip ban to prevent someone from posting tracks, and a ip ban also prevents from creating an alt account

bomb-bombs go over the walls in quick mode making them useless
just learn to use them that's not a game issue but a skill issue
also plz change ur pop to the old one its way too iconic
lol I changed my pfp many times, I had a Snorlax at the beginning then switched to this character with many versions lmao (I already had this one in January 2023) and anyways why would I listen a random kid on something as random as MY pfp

Okay since everyone is saying the same thing i'm gonna try to explain some things
- N64 Tracks
- The main problem with adding N64 tracks is that we don't have top down images with a good quality, yeah sure someone made some decent one (they were used by hoppingicon) but they have some "disturbing" things, mostly text, or icons which would have no use, also considering how some DS tracks ended up with crappy gameplay I'm not sure it's a good idea, and finally that would mean more cups to do in GP to unlock more characters that would have to be placed in the 8×3 character selection grid , it would also confuse TT ranking, and other competitive stuff, so yeah i'm sorry to say that but N64 tracks won't come anytime soon
- For QM pieces
- Diagonal pieces could be a good idea... but 1 how would it work on Quick Mode who only uses squares, and 2 the way Quick Mode works has never really changed since the beginning, mkpc being created in 2010 (you weren't even born xd)
- Broken Pier is just Boo Lake with a different color, useless to add this tbh
- Honestly idk how it could work, like would it be a land version like Riverside Park did ? Honestly that's not completely stupid but since i'm not sure to understand I can't say anything
- Another problem with N64 tracks is that you need to make QM pieces for it, and making QM pieces for 1 track is not that easy, so making them for 16 tracks... yeah, as a reminder the entire DS update took months and months to be done with 2 people working of it (Link-Triforce-8 was helping Wargor at this time) so now that Wargor is alone + don't have much time...
Again I don't want to disappoint you but apart for Koopa Beach 2 QM pieces (and again idk...) everything you just said is either impossible or useless, I hope you can understand now

But yeah, people hella underestimate the power of drawing shit themselves and CM, which is the entire point of the game's track creation, not the layout drafting mode that's a tiny grid of basic pieces

tbh i think Coconut Mall got ruined in Tour and the BCP
also imo GBA Sky Garden and Sunset Wilds in the BCP are good (you can't change my opinion)

In relation to MK9, I’ve decided on this:
The current tracks I have for V3 will be more of a preview of my new style, since due to the nature of the multicup, every track will take a while to make. As for what I will do moving forwards, I’m thinking of returning to 2, and finishing that one off with my old paint.net style, as a side project. Also all DLC is cancelled. Wanna know what people think of this

ok you clearly know nothing about competitive mkpc, i'm the middest player ever, Hgt apparently sucks in online VS (he's still fucking good in TT), Proudster is kinda mid too, Limey too even if I didn't saw him playing since a long time, Shoppi is probably at a similar level but idk tbh, also Infi is a bit washed rn and doesn't really play mkpc (he's doing competitive stuff on official MKs)
