Hang on I just realized this and think I should point this out:
Here is Knowledge-of-MKPC's description:

Not saying this is a bad topic, but I feel like you should just type the messages yourself, it's just being lazy
EDIT: I would like to note I'm still willing to give this a shot but like just stop using AI for it, write sh*t yourself

Knowledge of MKPC #6: Meet ambersillygal
Welcome back to Knowledge of MKPC! This time we talked with a member who has seen the community change over several years and who loves building tracks: ambersillygal. Here’s her story.
Discovered through a video
Amber found MKPC around 2022, thanks to a video by MarioPower555, a custom track showcase. One of the tracks in it was a Quick Mode recreation of London Loop 1, and it got her curious enough to search for the game herself.
Why she stayed: the track-building tools
What made her stick around was the set of tools for making custom tracks quickly and efficiently. One of her first projects was ChocoM1lk’s Ultimate Nitro CTGP. Back then, her username was chocom1lk, though she admits she doesn’t know why she chose it.
Her first memorable moment
Her first memorable moment on MKPC was being noticed by some semi-popular members at the time, including invu and acria. She’s pretty sure they left ratings on a Complete Mode track she made called Paratroopa Circuit 3, which has since been deleted.
The story behind the name
Her current username is a mix of three things:
“amber”, which is her name.
“silly”, which is how she’d describe herself sometimes.
“gal”, another word for girl.
The community, then and now
Asked what she thinks of the community, she said it felt more chill back then. There were more track building competitions hosted, the community felt more tightly knit, and everyone was hyped for each other’s projects.
Today, she still feels it’s relatively the same, though less tightly knit and more all over the place. The members are still very nice, but she honestly prefers the 2022-2023 community.
Shout-outs
To close the interview, she wanted to mention three friends who have been huge inspirations to her throughout her time on MKPC: Jade, Redpikmin95 and Ashleigh/Hazel.
Final thoughts
Amber has had a “good and memorable history” on MKPC, so good that she sometimes wishes she could experience being new again. Her story is a nice reminder of how a single showcase video, a few friendly ratings and a set of great track-building tools can turn into years on the same site, and of how much the little moments with the community can matter.
A big thank you to ambersillygal for her time and her honest answers!

Knowledge of MKPC #5: Meet Kinsley_
Welcome back to Knowledge of MKPC! This time we talked with a newer member who joined in 2026 and has quickly fallen in love with the game’s most famous technique, the reverse drift: Kinsley_. Here’s his story.
A tip from a friend at school
Kinsley_ discovered MKPC in March 2026, when a friend at his school played it and told him about it.
His start wasn’t straight-line, though. He logged out of the site on March 15, 2026 because he forgot about it. Then he came back on May 23, 2026, found it fun, and this time he stayed.
Why he stayed
Two things kept him hooked: the online mode and the time trials. He also enjoys the forum, where he likes chatting with other members.
The reverse drift moment
His first memorable moment on MKPC came in early July 2026, when he learned how to reverse drift. It’s the technique that top MKPC players use, even though he says he isn’t a top player himself.
Before that, he barely knew how to do it and stuck with snaking, which he found easier for some reason. The player who taught him was WorldRecord, and he credits him as the reason he can still reverse drift today. For Kinsley_, it’s like riding a bike: he can remember it even after a week away from the game.
The story behind the name
There isn’t much of one, he says. Kinsley_ is a username he often uses in video games, and it stuck with him 4 or 5 years ago. The underscore is there only because “Kinsley” was already taken, so he went with “Kinsley_”. He has always thought the name just sounded nice.
The hardest technique
The most difficult technique he’s ever mastered is, once again, the reverse drift. WorldRecord had been trying to help him learn it for a while, and for a long time it just didn’t click. When it finally did, it felt “so cool.” It felt even cooler once he got good enough to compete at a higher level.
The toughest opponent
His toughest opponent online is Nodac64. In his words, Nodac64 basically knows everything about the game and is a Grandmaster in Lounge, even though Kinsley_ doesn’t play Lounge himself. He’s also very good with items and reverse drifts very fast, and he beats Kinsley_ almost every race.
Practice routine
When he wants to improve, he practices in time trials. They help him get better lines, which are the paths you drive on the track. Good lines mean taking turns sharp, using the best shortcuts, and reverse drifting well, and time trials help him with all of that. He also hopes to set good time trial records of his own one day.
Records he’s chasing
He isn’t chasing a particular record right now. At one point, though, he thought he could take the 200cc world record on Donut Plains 3. It took him hours and he made a lot of progress, but he didn’t beat it, because other players had already gone after it with excellent lines to get the fastest time possible.
Solo or against others?
He prefers playing against real people. It’s the main reason he enjoys MKPC’s online races so much: they bring unpredictability that you just don’t get when playing alone against CPUs. Real players know how to reverse drift and use items like real people do, which gives him real competition and makes each race more fun.
Final thoughts
Kinsley_ is proof that you don’t need years on the game to find your place in MKPC. A few months, a helpful teacher like WorldRecord, and one technique finally mastered were enough to turn a forgotten site into a favorite. And it all started with a friend at school saying, “You should try this.”
A big thank you to Kinsley_ for his time and his thoughtful answers, and for being willing to answer even more if needed!

Knowledge of MKPC #4: Meet Cooking Papa
Welcome back to Knowledge of MKPC! This time we sat down with a member who has been around since the summer of 2024, who has built tracks, joined many tournaments, and climbed all the way to 10K VR: Cooking Papa. Here’s his story.
Bored, searching, and finding MKPC
It all began in July 2024. Bored one day, Spooking Papa searched for “Mario Kart Online” (or something close to it) and landed on MKPC. He was surprised by how much there was to do, and even happier when he discovered he could make his own tracks.
He started in Quick Mode with a recreation of N64 Wario Stadium, then kept going with more creations, which you can still find on his profile. His account became official on August 8, 2024.
Why MKPC beats the official games
For him it comes down to a few things: it’s free, it’s fun, and it’s full of features. Most of all, he can create far more than in an ordinary Mario Kart.
A name with a history
His username has changed over time. He was first known as Master Of Disaster, then switched to Cooking Papa, the name he says he still uses. He considers that name change a turning point: his best memory with other players is the day he decided to take it, and he calls it “a big event” for his career.
Memorable moments
He has two first memorable moments on MKPC:
Meeting a friend. He met Magpie2O when Magpie2O asked for a review of his track. Spooking Papa liked it, and after talking with him they became friends.
Reaching 10K. Hitting 10K VR was the start of what he calls his daily grind, all the way to his current VR.
How the community has changed
Looking back, he describes the early community as “much more toxic and rude.” In his view, there were people like PrimeTime and SuperSonic0exe who were “a bit annoying at the time.” Today, he says, MKPC is kinder, with fewer annoying people.
Standout names
When we asked who stands out in MKPC history, he gave us a list:
Hazel, a great moderator who always makes sure MKPC is a safe place.
ramen_noodles500, first known as Iceberg, who is also his best friend.
Sussynath, a creator with a real talent for making tracks.
FwaysZedong, 3rd in the world in VR, whose track creation talent is incredible. His advice: just look at Rome Avanti to see why.
Nodac, Hazel and FryGuy, who he thinks are essential: without popular figures like them, the platform wouldn’t be the same.
Tournaments and rivalries
He was never part of a clan, but he took part in many tournaments back in the day. One he remembers was organized by Iceberg and inspired by Pokémon Z-A.
As for rivalries, the one that stands out for him is the whole platform against TendoKiddo, who he says has made many YouTube videos against MKPC.
Quick-fire question round
Mushroom or Star? Star. It makes him “immortal” and lasts longer than the Mushroom.
Favorite item? Also the Star.
Best track ever? Probably Waluigi’s Taco Stand by Mudky: https://mkpc.malahieude.net/map.php?i=23216
Rainbow Road: love it or hate it? It depends on which one, but he generally loves it.
Controller or keyboard? He likes both equally, but prefers the keyboard when playing on PC.
A final word of advice
To close the interview, we asked Spooking Papa if he had a message for the community. His advice is for anyone who doubts what they can create:
“If you think you can’t do something cool, just put time and determination on it, and you’ll end up with a masterpiece.”
He added one more thing: put all of your effort into it.
Final thoughts
From a bored search in July 2024 to 10K VR, tournaments and lasting friendships, Spooking Papa’s journey shows how much there is to discover on MKPC, whether you race, create, or just join the community. His advice sums it up well: with time, determination and real effort, even a project that seems out of reach can turn into a masterpiece. So the next time you’re staring at a blank track editor, remember his words and get building.
A big thank you to Cooking Papa for his time and all his answers!

Knowledge of MKPC #3: Meet YH2014_FR
Welcome back to Knowledge of MKPC! This time we talked with a member who joined in 2024 and has since become an active voice on the forum: YH2014_FR. Here’s his story.
Looking for an online Mario Kart
It all started on October 19, 2024. YH2014_FR was looking for an online Mario Kart game when he stumbled on MKPC. It was “really fun,” he says, so he signed up right away under the name YH2014.
The forum came later. He discovered it in June or July of 2025, and by September he had become an active member.
Why he stayed
Ask him why he stuck around and the answer is simple: the community. He finds it “very touching and active,” and he really likes being part of it.
A memorable first
His most memorable moment on MKPC is getting his first subscriber. They were banned afterwards, he adds with a shrug, “but oh well.”
What he’d like to see: a 3D mode
When we asked what features or updates he’d most like to see, he didn’t hesitate: a 3D mode would be a great way to improve the game.
Advice for new players
For anyone just starting out, YH2014_FR has two tips:
In the game: start by playing in an arena. You can try out all the moves you want there, which makes it a great place to learn.
On the forum: head to the topic “Space For Anything...Again” to introduce yourself, rather than creating a new topic of your own.
MKPC in five years
His vision for the future is ambitious. He sees MKPC as the number one site for the Mario Kart and Nintendo community.
A message to the community
He closed with a kind word for everyone: “I wish them all good success because they are all nice!”
Final thoughts
YH2014_FR’s story is a good reminder that a friendly community can turn a casual search into a long stay. From a first visit in October 2024 to a dream of making MKPC the top Nintendo fan site, his enthusiasm shows what makes this place special.
A big thank you to YH2014_FR for his time and his answers!

Knowledge of MKPC #2: Meet Assays
Welcome back to Knowledge of MKPC! For our second post, we sat down with a member of the community who found Mario Kart PC almost by accident: Assays. Here’s his story.
A lucky search
Around 2025, Assays was playing Super Mario Construct on LSS and getting bored. He went looking for other Mario Maker fangames and typed in “mario kart maker.” MKPC just happened to be the first result.
“I clicked on it, and what’dya know, there’s a track editor!” he remembers. The forum on the home page caught his eye too, so he signed up for an account. From there, his place in the community grew slowly but steadily, to where he is today.
Why MKPC over the official games?
What made him stay? The sheer amount of content. MKPC brings together tracks from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart DS, which was his childhood game. On top of that come the custom tracks made by the community, which add even more.
For Assays, that was enough to make MKPC his go-to Mario Kart, ahead of any official release.
The story behind the name
Behind every username there’s a story, and his is a funny one. It all started with “RoAssay,” his own take on the Roblox username of a friend of his at the time, “RoHoussam.” After some friendly arguing between him and two other friends, he settled on “TheAssays.”
As for the “The”? “Not sure where the ‘The’ part comes from, though,” he admits.
A community that has grown
Since joining, Assays says the community has changed a lot. Still, the biggest difference he’s noticed is simply that more people have joined.
His best memory goes back to his very first forum topic. Members actually took the time to help him get to know the community and to explain how to improve in Online Mode. It’s the kind of welcome that makes a newcomer want to stay.
Standout names
When we asked about players or creators who stand out in MKPC history, he named Sebastian Valdez, the creator of all those fanfics.
Assays has never been part of a team, clan or tournament, so he’s enjoyed MKPC as an independent player.
How the community shaped the game
For Assays, the forum and community are a big part of why MKPC feels so alive. They made the game “a lot more active,” he says, thanks to Online Mode, custom tracks, cups and multicups, and everything else players have built.
Final thoughts
Assays’ story shows how a simple search can turn into a place in a community. Without a lucky first result, he might never have found MKPC, and the forum might have missed out on one more helpful, curious member.
A big thank you to Assays for taking the time to answer our questions!

MKPC Encyclopedia, Article #1
From a Google Image Search to Grandmaster: An Interview with Nodac
By Knowledge of MKPC
For the very first article of the MKPC Encyclopedia, I wanted to talk to someone who has earned a place among the best players the game has ever known. I reached out to Nodac, and he kindly agreed to answer a few questions about his journey on the site.
One quick clarification: I originally introduced him as the highest-ranked player on MKPC, but he humbly corrected me. He’s not the top-ranked player, though as you’ll see, his accomplishments speak for themselves.
An accidental discovery
Nodac’s story starts with a simple image search. He was looking for a top-down view of DS Peach’s Gardens when he clicked on a result that sent him straight to the MKPC website. From there, he explored everything the site had to offer. Sometimes the best discoveries are the unplanned ones.
What keeps him here
When I asked what made him stay, his answer was the community, and especially the lounge community. It’s the place where he feels safe and can truly be himself. For a game that’s been around as long as MKPC, it says a lot that the people are what keep players coming back.
Becoming a Grandmaster
His proudest accomplishment is becoming one of the 7 Grandmasters of the game on October 26th, 2024. Nodac described it as a huge deal, knowing he is now part of the best players the game has ever known.
What he’d like to see in the future
When asked what he’d like to see improved, Nodac kept it short and clear. He’d like more items and more features in the editor. He also thinks the Battle Mode and the challenges deserve more recognition.
Advice for new players
To close the interview, I asked Nodac for words for newcomers and the community. His message was about the most common frustration in Mario Kart:
Mario Kart can be a frustrating game. Sometimes the items you get seem useless, as if they were made to make you lose. But any item is useful if it’s used correctly. Item play is a very deep aspect of Mario Kart games, and once you master it, you unlock the opportunity to become one of the best players of the game.
Final thoughts
Nodac’s story is a great reminder of what makes MKPC special: a community that welcomes people from all over and a game with plenty of depth for those willing to learn it. Whether you’re a new player struggling with a bad item or a veteran chasing the top, his advice applies to everyone: learn your tools, and use them well.
A big thank you to Nodac for his time and his honest answers. This is only the first article, and many more are on the way.
Do you have a question for Nodac, or a player you’d like to see interviewed next? Let me know in the replies!
