In Europe, the most popular sport is football (soccer for you americans). So each year, each country have it's own national league, and the supporters cheers for their teams to be national champions. In fact, it's exactly the same as your national leagues in each sport, like NBA, NFL... But for us it's football.

But, there's also a competition, which is above and way more pretigious than the national leagues... We call it the UEFA Champions League. The best 32 clubs from Europe (which qualified from the best leagues), compete for the ultimate title: european champions! And because of COVID-19, we introduced a special tournament to end the tournament, called the final 8, which oppose the 8 remaining teams of the competition:
-Atalanta Bergamo (Italy)
-Paris Saint-Germain (France)
-RB Leipzig (Germany)
-Atlético Madrid (Spain)
-Manchester City (England)
-Olympique lyonnais (France)
-FC Barcelona (Spain)
-Bayern Munchen (Germany)

Notice that you have a similar tournament in North America: CONCACAF Champions League, 16 teams, from Canada to Panama, compete for being continental champions! ^^

Ce soir, c'est l'un des matches de foot les plus importants de la compétition (pour moi).

Vous le savez peut-être (ou peut-être pas, peut-être que vous ne suivez pas la Champions League, ou même pas le foot tout court) mais le PSG s'est qualifié pour la quart de finale en gagnant contre le Borussia Dortmund (Aggregate : 3-2) pour la première fois depuis 3 ans ! Son prochain adversaire sera donc l'Atalanta, avec seulement un match au lieu de deux (Match aller et retour), et rien que d'y penser, j'en ai la chair de Lakitu.



Si vous avez tout lu, vous savez que je supporte le PSG (logique pour un francilien), et que j'ai vraiment-vraiment envie qu'ils gagnent le trophée le plus prestigieux d'Europe (en terme de foot) pour la première fois de l'histoire. Donc si ils perdent ce match, je…
