I was scrolling a week ago and I found the answer to your question. Since students and teachers may refer E as excellent, they just decided to skip it. That's super simple... but eh.
The other question is : Why no G?
Is it really useless ? Anyways, people may refer to G as Great, plus A, B, C, D, and F are way enough lol
