I wanna start the Monster Hunter saga
On 2025-02-02 at 21:39:48
Nice. Planning to mod mine for Homebrew ports and MK7 Online. Plus I wanted to make a custom boot screen.
New 3DS or Old 3DS?

If you're talking about space, you can shove a 500gb hard drive on your system. Since you just mentioned Pretendo, I assume you mean for Wii U. Is it modded?

Uh, never played, bro. I don't know many people who play RPG's here. You can ask around though.
Mario Kart 9 Prediction

Basically the thing people mostly care about for the Switch 2 reveal is the MK9 footage, and it's wearing out. We need more info about the game. Like more tracks or better character designs. The direct being in April is too far.
Thought it was February, if it is, than it's in two days! Let's just see.

What is your oldest video game console
On 2025-02-02 at 22:56:00
Plus, I have a PS4 controller so it's just a bad idea to get two more controllers.

For a long time I thought my oldest console was the PS2, but recently in my father's old house I discovered a PS1! Too bad it didn't come with controllers.
Have you tried Old Skool's controllers?
I looked for second hand controllers but then I realized I don't even have any games to play (apart from FIFA 99 and the demo disc). Perhaps I'll eventually make a huge purchase with games too
Tried GameXChange before? You cna trade in stuff and I got quite a few things from there. I'm trying to get a JoyCon charger so I can use JoyCons with my Switch Lite. Don't really want an OLED, don't know where the dock's gonna go, so...
I already got a Pro Controller, I'm just trying to have ways to play with more people. I should stop trying and just get an 8-bit do Wireless Adapter. Cheaper than that stuff anyway.

Switch V1 or V2 (OLED)? If it's an OLED, the Nintendo TVii mod can salvage your console.

I have a Game Boy, a SNES, an N64, a Dreamcast, a Gamecube, a DS, an Xbox 360, an Xbox One, a Nintendo Switch, and a crappy bootleg Genesis with distorted sound.
I keep pressing the wrong button! Anyway, got any broken consoles?
We used to have a Wii that didn't have sound.
I normally take consoles like that. If it doesn't cause an issue in gameplay, I'd use it. For example, my childhood Wii still works, it just has quite a few scratches on the case. Still runs like a champ though! What's your favorite Wii game?

The oldest one that actually works is a N64.

NES. Not sure if it works or not...
What retro tracks would you like to see in MK9
On 2025-02-02 at 21:08:00
Wii Rainbow Road has GOT to be in the next Mariokart.

THIS could be MarioKart 9

Toad's Factory hasn't even had A CHANCE to be a retro course. Toad's Factory deserves to be MK9.
Completely agree. The fact that it wasn't a part of the recent DLC for MK8DX is disappointing.
And the DLC is, like, what, 2 years old?
Sound Change!

Unity's good for kart games development. You should try it!

Dude, this game is from 2010 — What about it needs to be modernized? That's why the blue shell doesn't travel on the ground, and that's why we don't have the super horn.
Why we won't have a new smash bros
On 2025-02-02 at 21:22:42
Right. The PSP was more powerful and console-like, but the DS was more arcade (typical nintendo).

That's some serious power for a handheld. I've seen some with portable PS4's but not PS4 Pros.

Nintendo is notorious for low power consoles...
Also, I'm typing this with a digital keyboard on my non-touch laptop for some reason.
Anyway, think about it.
- Wii: Used GameCube hardware
- Wii U: Has 2GB of RAM and a dedicated console processor
- Switch: Has 4GB of RAM and as powerful as a low-tier Android phone, with a custom ARC processor that can run Linux, Android, and maybe Windows 11 ARM version.
- Switch 2: 4K display on dock, 12 GB of RAM, and a powerful 4 Ghz processor (If we're talkin' PS4 Pro).
