This is getting impossible for beginners. You only need 15/20 of your track and if you can't do this, you will be rejected. The leaderboard is horrible, we want you to change the leaderboard to 4/5 so it becomes easier to be accepted
15/20 is a lower threshold than 4/5, 4/5 is 16/20, you'd actually be making it EVEN HARDER to get in
Even then, their allowed to have standards. This CTGP wasn't meant to allow anything and everything anyway. You can't fault them for that. You know what you can do? Keep trying. Get better at making courses, take both good & bad criticism to heart, try new ideas, keep creating. One day, you'll reach that upper echilon. Or, maybe find a substitute for their project that is less strict(cough* cough* the one you literally created)
With time, you'll improve. But only if you keep trying. Also when you're burned out, taking a break and coming back is good, but other than that, keep trying. Or you could give up with trying to get into CTGP.
Personally, I'm envious of your confidence. I couldn't imagine submitting any of my courses to CTGP, they're all too subpar, atleast to me.
But there's a fine line between confidence and insanity, and I hope you find it. You need to let it go.

I can try to put down a suggestion for normal-ish pieces to try to balance this out a bit.
Some of these are from online obviously
Inverted Pawn(Infantry I guess)
Firstly, a second type of pawn that functions in reverse to the normal ones: moves diagonally, captures forwards. Make it look different & split the 8 pawns into 6 normal & two inverted, with the new ones on the outside.
Jester
Moves like a queen, but it can't check or capture. It's role is to take up board space, either prevent an attack or block of the king's escape route.
Artillery
A more limited king, if you will. No diagonals allowed. But it has the tradeoff of taking up space, which is probably very valuable in a map control based game.
Elephant(in keeping with the origins)
Another support. It can move 3 squares in any cardinal direction(no diagonals) and can't check/capture, but get's to push a piece one square away in the direction it moves, creating space.
Due to all this space not really existing right now on the current chessboard, we increase the board to 12x12.
Is this unbalanced as shit? Yes. Do these pieces at least fit with the theme? Checkmate.

But Mario isn't risking his life. He rarely comes close to this too. Not once has he been genuinely close to dying during his adventure. The amount of times you, the player, die is another AU. He probably doesn't even take any damage either.
Also there are too many 1-UPs around for anyone to genuinely pass on in the platformers.
In fact, in the Galaxy games, Peach literally sends Mario extra lives to save her. If anything, she saved herself. TLDR: Ain't nobody important dying in mainline Mario games, there's 0 risk.

They have never said how long it actually takes Mario himself to do it. For example, Galaxy is definitely not a week thanks to the Launch Stars he needs to take to every single level. It's going to be atleast a week to get to each one. Odyssey, likewise, is more than a week: travelling across Earth in such a slow ship.

Also, this "Daisy has better stats than Peach" that's literally only 1 game. Daisy is literally a carbon copy of Peach stat wise everywhere else. Just say "in Mario Kart Wii". Because Peach has 3 entire extra games with stats that make her higher than Daisy overall, specify Wii, please & thank you.

There are several inaccuracies in this that I must bring up.
1: Rosalina was designed to look like she was related to Peach originally. But she's too tall &
2: Rosalina couldn't stop Bowser because he had all the Grand Stars. That's fairly simple.
3: Peach gets kidnapped because her kingdom actually hass something worth stealing inside of it: Power Stars. The area under Peach's jurisdiction is atleast 20 times that of Sarasaland, over countless games: NSMB, NSMBW, NSMBU, NSMB2. TLDR: Daisy doesn't have shit worth taking so Bowser leaves her alone.
4: Nintendo do not "hate" characters. They just do them by relevance first. This is why Waluigi is not in Smash, whereas Daisy has been a Peach alt since the very beginning.
Daisy hasn't done anything to be a starter in Battle League. It's that simple.
4.5(More my observation than fact): People only wanted Waluigi in Smash for the memes, let's be honest.
5: Daisy isn't getting a game. You need an anti-cope inhaler ASAP.
6: Nothing in Mario Party is canon because the characters present are always complete variables. Nothing you see in those games has ever actually taken place unless actually stated, like the images from "the past" in Mario Party Superstars. Those characters are the canon ones for that specific board, anything else is an AU.
7(okay not really but it's a lucky number so): Daisy's an asshole with an asshole's voice & some people hate her for that.

How many characters do you have unlocked? That might explain why you're seeing duplicates: you don't have enough characters yet.

Brother, you're complaining about an icon for a CUSTOM CHARACTER on a CUSTOM TRACK. The readability of the map has nothing to do with the developer of this game. It's got to do with the person who made that character(& didn't make a custom icon, because the back sprite is the default) and the person who though ripping 3DS minimaps 1 for 1 was a good idea. Take it up with them. Not anybody elses.
Every default map is perfectly readable, even with custom characcter icons.

I'm saying that the character icon of who you're using isn't highlighted and it looks the same as the other character icons making it hard to tell where you are
There's only one version of every character in a match, as long as you know who you're playing as, you can tell where you are pretty much immediately.
Maybe you should just look harder/ignore the minimap. Espdcially in battle where things are too hectic to spend time trying to pinpoint your location

No? If you choose more than the roster has, then you'll see dupes.
Source: I play primarily in 12 player mode(because that's what I grew up with). I've never seen dupes in 12 player, not sure if the game always makes sure that each character is present once before duplicating or sum'n, but I've never seen it. Obviously if you have 50+ racers there will be 3/4 of each character.
