I can't say definitively for all srrial killers, but this guy was some kind of fantasis. Like, he sent the police clues & evidence & books & shit, like, he clearly did it for fun.
Funniest part is he only came back after finding out that someone was writing a book on the murders, as people usually do on events like that.
