I am pleased to see that the project concept has generated interest. The overall idea behind the indie game-based CTGP was to create something that could incorporate a wide variety of games while allowing each track and character to retain elements of its original source material. The Cave Story track was one of the earlier concepts developed for the project, and it will be interesting to see how the remaining ideas develop as additional collaborators become involved.
The current goal is approximately three cups and eight characters at release, although this may change depending on the availability of track makers and spriters.
