Rating your Retro Tracks.
On 2026-07-06 at 23:15:09
Gameplay 32/35. Overall, the track plays good, it’s got some fun gimmicks, I really like the trick able bumps in the moon
Visual 22/25. It looks good overall, but some parts are blurry. The fact that you added more unique sections visually boosted the score here.
Is it a faithful recreation OR does it add to the original 28/30 This is a great rendition of SNES Rainbow Road, I like the fact that you added new sections to make the track interesting. I do kinda wish that the thwomps were a different color, it would be more accurate if they were rainbow
Miscellaneous 9/10 The general aspects are really good, but not perfect.
Final score: 91/100 A
N64 Koopa Troopa Beach - https://mkpc.malahieude.net/map.php?i=194471
Gameplay 31/35. I think it’s just my monkey brain, but I just like doing all the tricks on the ramps.
Visual 19/25. I’m not a huge fan of the style, but the colors are nice.
Is it a faithful recreation OR does it add to the original 26/30 This is a good recreation of the original n64 version, (the better one) I think it would be interesting if there were rising tides that allow for you to occasionally take a tighter line.
miscellaneous 9/10 The music is good

Final score: 85/100 B
Both of these were solid tracks.

Hello. I’m noticed a lot of people making topics like this, where they rate others tracks. So I figured that I’d make one exclusively for retro tracks.
This is simple, you send me retro tracks and I rate them using a system.
Here are the factors that I will grade on:
Gameplay _/35. This is just does the track play well.
Visual _/25. Does the track look good and fit a style. (Also is the image original and not stolen).
Is it a faithful recreation OR does it add to the original _/30 This depends on if the track is meant to replicate the original, or reimagine it. Depending on which one it is, you will either be graded on how faithful of a recreation it is, or how much it adds to the original while still being the track.
Miscellaneous _/10 This is just general stuff. For example, backgrounds, music, readability.
This leads to a general rating system out of a 100. With the following grading system.
S (99-100)
A (90-98 )
B(80-89)
C(70-79)
D(60-69)
F(0-59)
There are also rules because people always break obvious rules when I fail to establish them.
Rule 1: Must be a retro. The track must be a retro of an official nintendo track, no recreations from other racing games or a remake of your nitros.
Rule 2: No spamming. Don’t submit all of your retros at once. Submitting more than 3 at a time will lead to your tracks having a lower chance at being reviewed.
Rule 3: Must be your own tracks: You cannot submit tracks that are stolen, the most common example is the base image being stolen.
Rule 4: Must be complete mode: No quick mode tracks, they’re way to simple I don’t want to give out a ton of low scores.
Rule 5: Follow Forum Rules: This is self explanatory, make sure your track follows forum rules.
Rule 6: Don’t complain: If your track gets a low score, it’s not because I’m purposely hating on you, usually I try to give constructive criticism
to help you improve.
Anyways submit your retros and I’ll rate them.

If you own Nintendo, what would you do?
On 2026-07-04 at 01:37:14
I would do 3 things.
1. Mario Maker 3. It would add in an NSMBDS theme that would go with the regular themes, as well as add in Mario Wonder as a special theme with wonder flowers as the main gimmick. It would also increase what you could do with super-worlds. It would also have everything necessary
on launch (with QOL updates) which brings me into the next thing.
2. Stop publishing unfinished games. This is simple, all the games from now on would have everything on release (unlike some of the current mario sports games where characters become DLC)
3. Add an option to Mario Kart World where intermission can be turned off online. The lobbies would just be separated to intermission allowed and not allowed.

How about you try a retro track in SsgK now https://mkpc.malahieude.net/map.php?i=228639
On 2026-07-02 at 21:49:16
1. A new rating topic, where instead of me rating only one track, I will rank Cups! The making of the topic may take a while, but once it’s up and running it will (I hope) be helpful for you!
I like this idea, and I also think that this could be expanded to multicups.
On 2026-07-01 at 03:30:48
I feel like for now one of SsgK’s Nitro’s would be good.https://mkpc.malahieude.net/map.php?i=228027 Maybe I’ll even do a retro later.

For the bubble rally Dino Dino Jungle, the section right before the bridge is the checkpoint. And the you do a full lap of Dino Dino Jungle, continuing to the same checkpoint so that you still do a full lap. Also the numbers in my name are 132, not 123. Oh yeah thanks for the advice!

Bowser's Castle - Dry Bones Burnout - Acorn Heights - Boo Cinema - Starview Peak - Sky-High Sundae - Wario Shipyard - Peach Beach - Great ? Block Ruins - Dino Dino Jungle - Koopa Troopa Beach - DK Spaceport - Whistletop Summit - Desert Hills - Shy Guy Bazaar - Airship Fortress - Bowser's Castle
I don’t know if this was intentional, but the first six tracks listed here is an exact copy of my propeller rally, down to the tracks and everything. The next set of six is also really similar to the cherry rally, as well as dk spaceport being really long for an end. I have nothing to say on the third rally. (Sorry if this seems harsh, it’s meant to be constructive criticism.)
Edit: oh I didn’t know it was a full loop.
On 2026-07-02 at 17:28:18
Here’s one of the ideas that I came up with. The Carrot rally (based off of that one super mario land power-up.)
The order is as follows:
Great ? Block ruins -> Faraway oasis -> Cheep Cheep Falls -> Choco Mountain -> Wario Stadium -> Shy Guy Bazaar.
I think that this is a dynamic rally that would take you through several environments. Also this rally would enter into Daisy Palace, which I think is pretty cool.
The other rally that I came up with is the propeller rally (because it starts and ends on a sky track, along with being mostly north)
This route is as follows:
Bowser’s Castle -> Dry Bones Burnout -> Acorn Heights -> Boo Cinema -> Starview peak -> Sky High Sundae.
I think this rally has a really unique concept and ventures through some cool tracks.
And the 3rd rally idea that I had, the Bubble rally (mainly due to the small area of the rally) This rally is as follows
DK Spaceport -> Crown City -> Peach Stadium -> Faraway Oasis -> Koopa Troopa Beach -> Dino Dino Jungle.
I really like the contained area of the rally, and it ends on a unique destination, I think you could also move the checkpoint in DDJ to make the lap complete.
Edit 1: rallies 4-5
The Coin rally: (this is mainly because a lot of these tracks are events that you would pay for, or toads factory where money is made.)
Boo Cinema -> dandelion depths -> mario circuit -> toads factory - dry bones burnout -> wario stadium (this is the reverse version).
I think that this rally would be quite fun with some interesting tracks.
Here is the 5th rally the Blooper Rally (this is because of the heavy usage of water tracks.) Here is the order.
Dandelion Depths -> Cheep Cheep falls -> Wario’s Shipyard -> Peach Beach -> Great ? Block Ruins -> Salty Salty Speedway.
This route actually has the outskirts of Great ? Block Ruins be its checkpoint, mainly to make the last stretch shorter, while still exploring the location
Edit 2: Rally 6
I feel like I spent a lot of effort on this rally. This is the Bob-Omb rally, (no real reason for that title)
We start out the rally in Toad’s Factory, then continue on the Toad’s Factory to Mario Bros Circuit intermission. The first checkpoint is located right before the you truly enter Mario Bros Circuit. The second section has you taking the first turn of Mario Bros Circuit in reverse, and then you take a left turn to continue on the Mario Bros Circuit to Desert Hills intermission. The second checkpoint is located on the Desert Hills starting line. You go through it backwards like usual which sets you up to take the Desert Hills to Shy Guy Bazaar intermission. The third checkpoint is located on the Shy Guy Bazaar starting line. This sets you up to take the Shy Guy Bazaar to Airship Fortress intermission route where the checkpoint is directly below where it usually is, so that you take the area under the track. Lastly we take the Airship Fortress to Dry Bones Burnout intermission. Here we take the side entrance in the usual track, which is also another checkpoint. We then do a full lap on Dry Bones Burnout with the end spot being exactly where it usually is.
Here’s the basic order for this rally:
Toad’s factory -> Mario Bros Circuit -> Desert Hills -> Shy Guy Bazaar -> Airship Fortress intermission route-> Dry Bones Burnout
I think that these are some cool ideas.
If I have any other ideas, I’ll add them.
Oh yeah if anyone could give feedback on these ideas, that would be great!

Please remove me from the competition, I didn't want to join, I just asked a question about how the ranking system is set up.
The more that I think about it. The same thing happened with me (where I asked a question and got signed up) If this happened to two other people, then I would also like to be removed as I don’t know if I can trust somebody who mistakenly signs people up.
On 2026-06-27 at 21:13:51
we need 4 people in each league.
You could always just combine certain ranks to make it easier to get groups. Also I’m in the C rank now.

What’s the multicup? I may join in E or D rank.
The multicup hasn't been released yet. I will send the link 7 days after release.

Your birthday date, your Mario kart world track
On 2026-07-03 at 03:41:54
If you wanted for the tracks dates to make sense. Then I suggest swapping DK Spaceport and Choco Mountain. This way, DK Spaceport is the 25th, which is a reference to 25m.

Shy Guy has and will always will be my goat. I haven’t played mkworld, but the rally romper looks like it would go great with Shy Guy.
