It is perfect the way it is, nothing needs to be changed

so, recently I've been thinking too much about Mario Kart Double Dash and how there's a lot of things in that game that really makes you choose the characters and with that, I thought of how cool it would be if more characters were added to the game, so yeah, what do you think?
Which characters would be cool to have on a double dash 2 or something?

Remember that this game has the very specific gimmick of pairs of characters, for example, Mario and Luigi, Peach and Daisy, and they also have special items, so be sure to consider that too, some extra things you can also put is weight (light, middle or heavy) and how the car looks.

here's what I thought of (I couldn't think of karts):
-Goomba (light) and Galoomba (light): both have the special item bad mushroom (or some other name), basically, your kart spins and drops 3 bad mushrooms around, when someone hits the mushrooms, they become small for some time, the mushrooms look a lot like normal super mushrooms, so it has that kind of fake item box idea to it.
-Poochy (heavy) and Flutter (middle): they have separate special items, but they basically do the same thing, poochy has the "puffball" and the wiggler has the feather, those items make you jump into a direction and then give you a boost, the puffball jumps less but travels a longer distance and the feather has a bigger jump but it doesn't go that far, think about horses and camels in minecraft.
-Metal Mario (heavy) and Pink Gold Peach (heavy): they have a bullet bill as their special item, it works exactly like every other Mario Kart.
-Hammer Bro (middle) and Rocky Wrench (light): their special is like the poochy and flutter items but the movements are done by the items and not by the car, the hammer bro has the hammer duh, and rocky has the wrench, they both get stuck on the ground for a while, but the hammer stays longer, they have 3 uses.
-Pianta (heavy) and Noki (light): they have the special item "fruit box", its a box with fruits, they basically pick it, rotate it a bit so the fruits fall from the box, it will start a trail of fruits that deal damage when touched, since there will be many, they are less worse than normal items when hit.
-Tom Nook (middle) and Isabelle (middle): yes, animal crossing, I don't care, it's funny... they have as their special item the oak sapling, you just put it in the Track and a tree appears, it's a solid object which you can't move, so you will be stopped by it if you hit it and it can't be broken, because of that it disappears after a while.

and for the dumb people, no, double dash is not getting a sequel and I won't do any of this, it may be obvious, but you never know
