Is there blue Shell dodge with mushroom like there is in MK8DX in this game or not? I've tried it for a while but I don't know if I'm just timing it wrong.
At the exact moment the spikes of the blue shell are facing you use your mushroom immediately

in luigis mansion you can literally exit the mansion if you use a mushroom into the ramp inside of the mansion at just the right angle
