How can I do a character unlock challenge?
Once you have an active (validated) challenge go to the challenge editor, click on advanced options, then challenge rewards. The menu explains this pretty well but I'll sum it up anyway:
You can select a character from your editor and whatever challenges you want the player to clear. That can be multiple and includes challenges from tracks inside a (multi)cup. This will only be including active challenges, so you can't really make an unlock in advance. The characters you can use are only ones you haven't published, which is basically the only way to see what characters you have published (char editor does not make it very easy). Unlocks don't need to be validated.

CTGP DX is the same concept. Unless Chloe changes that, it'll be much easier to get a track into it than But Good. The quality will be a little higher than yours too. Obviously yours wouldn't be worthless. But you might not find ppl giving you courses in the future if CTGP DX does come back.
The pipeline, as I see it, is:
Try for CTGP BG-->Get Accepted/Rejected-->Try for CTGP DX-->Get Accepted/Rejected-->Try for MTGP-->Get Accepted/Rejected
CTGP DX also has more overall better creators with courses in it. (Max, Nudge, Choco, Nodac, SM7, Chloe, BowserJr03, etc.(Notice how Lely isn't in CTGP, this is because he is a fraud who makes fraudulent tracks)
Add the fact that you can only have 1 track per cup in CTGP But Good, and even though it isn't hard confirmed, probably not allowed to be in back to back cups...(same applies to CTGP DX, which is good for you I guess), and any creator with more than three tracks ready will have a bunch left over for CTGP DX.

Correct, there just have been alot less submissions since the initial hype has died down + judges have gotten more strict. Currently replacing some bad tracks so no new cups for a while lol. In other words this project is a very slow burn. Also most of the good track creators on this site are kinda dead atm, assuming they even would have interest in the first place.
CTGP is dying because it doesn't have the best Creators and nudge leaving the site and MTGP is dead because of the mess that happened last month

And the track will have an interesting layout, it doesn't mean that you just reject it because it's made in pixel art, some people don't know how to draw but pixel art is accessible to everyone.

pixel art tracks are easier, but they are overall low quality and the road width can be inconsistent
Example: 100 X 100 If you enlarge the image by any size it will become a small image
