Wow, I'm amazed at the fact that more people are looking forward to my custom GP than I thought. Usually people arenβt always into totally original content, and yes I mean Nintendo's tracks are far more important, but can't I have a little imagination?
Play the beta: https://mkpc.malahieude.net/map.php?mid=4225
Here's the list that I plan for the future. Anything is subject to change.
40 more tracks and 2 more playable characters are most likely to happen.

Choco Mountain
OK for a real song I have no idea but some are Hey Ya by Outkast, Them Changes by Thundercat, and Country Grammar by Nelly

My new grading aspect

The track will still get a 5/5 if there are at least 21 out of 25 points. Music is not the worrysome.
I am critical for music because it makes the track enjoyable. And I like it even better if it's an original song for an original map, so the map can shine it's own light rather than from another map's.

For me, I could use Ahmad or your system, but not circuit 111 one (no offense) because if the gameplay isn't good it's 4/5, but I think the gameplay can be kinda meh but not enough for 4/5 (like Gloomy Shelter). I also could use another system. I said the problems and their importance.
One important point IS like two points.
1-3 problems : 5/5
4-6 problems : 4/5
7-10 problems : 3/5
More than 5 big problems : 2/5
More than 7-8 Big problems : 1/5
Honestly I thought you were gonna turn me down harder than that LMAO
I know music's the least important but that's the most important to me, so I'm the musical critic :P
I mean, isn't it not annoying to hear SNES Mario Circuit play in an unfitting way

So I am going to be more critical and reasoning when I rate people's maps. I only rate complete mode tracks, and I want them to be mostly positive.
Music: The most critical. I only give high ratings to those who use custom music instead of an official Mario Kart song (unless the map is a remake). If you use a default song, don't expect it to be high. But don't worry too much about this one.
Design: The map's design isn't entirely about detail. I don't design maps myself so I don't want to be a hypocrite. The design part is graded on how readable the map is, like where offroad is, where holes are, etc. If I know where to go, this category gets a high rating. Another trait is collisions: If you don't place walls or offroad, you failed this category.
Gameplay: This category is for the map's difficulty. If there's obscure turns and jumps that are too difficult to perform, this won't get a high rating. Rainbow Road or any map designed to be hard is an exception. This is more so for average maps that have unnecessarily hard turns or what not. You should get a high rating for this category.
Checkpoints: Another heavily critical one. If you do not place enough checkpoints, the placements will mess up. Also counts for checkpoints that can be easily missed if one messes up slightly. If either of those apply, you will not get a high rating. But if you place them correctly, you will get a perfect score.
Enjoyability: Another relatively easy one. If I enjoyed playing the map, I'll give it a high rating. I love playing people's maps, so don't worry if I might not have enjoyed yours.
Each category will be rated from 1-5 stars, making a final total of 25 stars. It will be rounded as such:
1-5 stars: 1 star
6-10 stars: 2 stars
11-15 stars: 3 stars
16-20 stars: 4 stars
21-25 stars: 5 stars
Here's an example:
Music: πππββ
Design: ππππβ
Gameplay: ππππβ
Checkpoints: ππππβ
Enjoyability: πππππ
Other notes: Good work! I like the idea you did of making a few shortcuts here and there to perform with using a mushroom. There's a respawn glitch but it only happens if you mess up that badly. It's very enjoyable nonetheless!
Total score: 20/25 (4 stars)
You can do it like this too if you want and change the rules of rating to your own liking.

When I read the title of the thread I thought you were gonna talk about how they just run into walls and randomly disappear online XD
Problem of people making MK8 tracks.
On 2022-02-05 at 18:38:59
Yeah. MK8 was gonna be done separately in another multicup. But I cancelled it.
I'll just accept those 4 games you mentioned.

I was gonna remake MK8 but I didn't like how I was just copying other's maps. So I cancelled it.

The problem is how the layouts are made. Mario Circuit is literally impossible to draw. BUT, since we now have the new teleportation feature, it could happen. But you can't judge us, we try our best to work around these types of things.
Did you see my example?

Yes, and it's a very poorly done map

I make Mario Kart MIDIs
On 2022-02-05 at 18:07:37
Thank you so much!! I'm working on improving, since I got some backlash from the Super Roblox Kart community that I can 100% agree on.
On 2022-02-05 at 17:51:04
That's actually pretty cool how you made that yourself
I agree. You should be proud of yourself.
Thing is I ripped them from the game and changed the instruments and use SynthFont to generate the drums. BUT I do make other video game songs by ear!

Twilight House is here
On 2022-02-01 at 01:33:07
Yep
On 2022-01-31 at 22:54:07
Yup! MIDIJam! I use that program so the videos are not so boring to watch. However, many instruments (such as plucks like a banjo or koto, as well as others like a shanai) are not visible.
On 2022-01-31 at 03:52:28
MIDI files are not just pianos. They have all sorts of instruments, synths, and sound effects!
On 2022-01-30 at 18:06:18
That was the only track I could not find a good MIDI for actually. So I pieced one together myself.

"Musical Instrument Digital Interface"
They are basically editable music files. You can apply soundfonts over them to make them sound any way you like. Like you can apply the Super Mario Kart soundfont and they will sound like a track from the game (kind of).

they are Mario Kart MIDIs. I made these ones mostly from ripping them out of their respective games. You can download them in their video descriptions.
