Small but major Mario Kart World update

Earlier today, there was an update for Mario Kart World, but it isn't just any normal update, this could mean a lot.


Here are the changes:

-Raised acceleration for some lower acceleration combos

-Raised gliding speed when getting hit before entering the glider

-Made it possible to hop/drift after a Kemek transformation or a Bill bump affects players

-Made it easier to get tricks in water when shaking the controller

-Made headbounce trick land speed longer

-Made it possible to break before a slipstream to cancel it out

-Adjusted rate in which items can be obtained
   -okay this one needs explaining, I've edited this section so many times cus I don't fully understand, however thanks to a Shortcat video, I can get a pretty accurate item probabilities
  -1st-5th:
 Green Shell, Feather, Coin Box, Triple Bananas, Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom, Boo Triple Shrooms
  -6th-24th can get the same items plus the Star
   -After 20-25 seconds, the probabilities look like this:
  -1st: Coin, Banana, Green Shell, Feather, Super Horn, Coin Box
  2nd: Coin, Banana, Green Shell, Feather, Super Horn, Coin Box, Triple Bananas, Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom
  3rd: Banana, Green Shell, Feather, Super Horn, Coin Box, Triple Bananas, Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom, Ice Flower, Boo, Triple Reds
  -4th: Green Shell, Feather, Super Horn, Coin Box, Triple Bananas, Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom, Ice Flower, Boo, Triple Reds, Boomerang, Fire Flower
  -5th: Green Shell, Feather, Super Horn, Coin Box, Triple Bananas, Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom, Ice Flower, Boo, Triple Reds, Boomerang, Fire Flower, Triple Shrooms
  -6th-7th (please don't): Super Horn, Coin Box, Triple Bananas, Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom, Ice Flower, Boo, Triple Reds, Boomerang, Fire Flower, Triple Shrooms, Coin Shell, Star
  8th-24th: Triple Greens, Red Shell, Mushroom, Ice Flower, Boo, Triple Reds, Boomerang, Fire Flower, Triple Shrooms, Coin Shell, Star
   -And I'm not gonna type all the normal item table, but search it up if you want
   -Once again thanks to Shortcat on YouTube for making a video going over the item table

-Made it possible to see if someone has a Super Horn

-Added ramps on Airship Fortress >>> Bowser's Castle
   -i couldn't find the ramp myself, but apparently there is one

-Added support for the Thai language



now I did purposely skip over some things, cus they're the big stuff:


-In Photo Mode, it is now possible to put stickers on the screen

-Added 2 new Knockout Tours
   -That is definitely the main focus of the update, if you've played a single player or offline mutltiplayer KO tour, you can find the Drill Rally and Boomerang Rally ready for you, and a long with that, 6 more rallies are blanked out, meaning more rallies will come in the future

Kind of a small news, but if a new tour can make it into a news than I could assume this can

Sebastian_Valdez5 If Rainbow Road Is Able To Be In A Rally Sometime I Think It Could Work Like This:

The Rally Starts On Acorn Heights (24 Players) And Lap 2 Is SNES Mario Circuit (20 Players), Lap 3 Is Wii Moo Moo Meadows (16 Players), Lap 4 Is Peach Stadium (12 Players) And Then Both Lap 1 And Lap 2 Of Rainbow Road Is Lap 5 (8 Players) And Then Lap 3 And 4 Of Rainbow Road Is The Final Lap For The Rally (4 Players) (I Really Hope Y'all Understand What I'm Saying)

But Besides That I Actually Like This Update A Lot! Specificly The New Knockout Tour Rallies!

FryGuy lowk I could see RR getting into a KO tour, and I have an idea on how that could work:


start on the final section of rainbow road, in the glider, then once you get to the finish line, it act as a teleporter to put you somewhere at peach stadium, where the KO tour would continue

Funky4MKWorld Everything here is great, except I think that it would be better if the first 20 seconds couldn't give triple mushrooms or a star.

Yoshi128 I dont have switch online pass so I play single player, but i think this new item distribution is insane. Against hard cpus on snes mario circuit, I pulled triple mushrooms on item box 1 and a star on set 2. I then proceeded to win the race over half a lap ahead of second place because of the shortcuts. I may make a topic sharing all of my opinions on everything later today, but i dont like this change.

Mr_Manager I was playing online earlier and I swear they changed last place item odds bc I was pulling boomerangs and single red shells in bottom spots. Is there any confirmation this was a change?

FryGuy yea boomerang just instantly became my favorite lol, it goes through THREE spots never driven on before, those being the second half of Salty Salty Speedway (I'm pretty sure), Cheep Cheep Falls, and the part going up to Mario Bros. Circuit

Ssg-132 After seeing footage of the two new rallies. Both of them look great. I like how the boomerang route explores some interesting new areas of tracks, including the fact that it does a lot of Cheep Cheep Falls.

Ethereal42 I wish the blue shell didn't hit people on the way to first because the whole point of it was just to hit first, and also I wish it hit through super horns because it's a lame way to dodge blue shells imo

(likely not getting added in the next update of all things but I would like to see it)
