The other day when i was playing Mario Kart PC, I was thinking, "Why not add 3D into Mario Kart PC like in Mario Kart 64?" I always think about that 3D is a must be a thing in Mario Kart PC, also the 3D track builder.
My question is, is adding 3D into Mario Kart PC possible?

that would have to be an entirely new game with a new engine and new characters and a new track editor. buuuuut if you can emulate mk64 on a chromebook browser it could be possible if someone put in the effort. just not here.
On 2026-09-16 at 15:17:44 in quick mode rant
there's always somebody in the suggestions topic like "duhh add *this* to quick mode" or "bro fix ds rainbow road" and everybody replies with "just make a complete track" and nobody gets what they want and the world explodes
so INSTEAD of asking for it and getting the same answer here are some things that I WOULD ADD to quick mode (as a quick mode warrior)
1 - track size easily. it would make quick mode 10x more fun if you could expand the track size by maybe 3 more rows and columns. there are people that have made their own cup series in quick mode (shoutout @EGBD) but alot of the layouts are the same since every track is limited to the same size ratio.
2 - off road tiles. so you know how mario circuit 1 has that shortcut through the dirt at the end and it's impossible to make that in quick mode? well what is there was a block you could add that was JUST the dirt, or JUST the offroad on ANY of the tracks? it would make it a lot easier to make shortcuts instead of having a seperate part of the road or jumping over a wall. of course some tracks won't work for this (ex: ghost valley, boo lake, rainbow road(s) lmao) but this would still be a cool addition
3 - make the road 2 blocks wide. when you're playing a grand prix and you have ALL OF THOSE BOTS on the track with you, they all clump up or go in a line directly in the middle of the track and you either have to be a reverse drift GOD or be lucky enough to pass them on a turn. so what if you could combine 2 road blocks TOGETHER??? WHAT IF I WANTED TO MAKE THE BIG DONUT BATTLE COURSE FROM MARIO KART 7 AND TURN IT TO A TRACK ADD IT TO MY GRAND PRIX? all i'd have to do is combine maybe 2-3 layers of track together and BAM! all you'd have to do is put 2 road blocks together and toggle it to where they combine and make the road wider! it would completely change how the track is played, and would go PERFECTLY with my 1st point
and with all of that, i'd finally be able to make the toad circuit recreation i always wanted to
thank you for reading
