What Software Do Complete Custom Track Designers Use?

Heyo all! I enjoy making custom tracks, and have some success with making the aesthetics I'm aiming for. BUT- I have seen some incredible tracks with flawless art, and think I could be doing better.

For those who specialize in making complete custom circuits, what art/pixel design software do you use? Thanks!

Most Professionals use paint.net to make tracks because it's very good and i use them aswell
