We literally don't. RPGs have disproved this for years.

We don't know how old most party members in RPGs are, but that doesn't stop them from being beloved. Actions and personality help you fully understand a character. Not their age. A 40 year old could be a moron. A 5 year old could be a philosopher-to-be. I know this is a literal pdf excuse, but age really is just a number(in this case)

Sonic is 15-16 in universe. Irl he'd be 33.

Mario is also 24-25 in universe. He'd be 45 irl(based on the interview).

Of course, neither of them are real

So we don't know their actual  birth years.

Nor does this actually matter

Because their ages do not make them special or relatable, their personalities do.

Canonically Sonic is 15-16

That doesn't mean that he was actually born 16 years ago. Otherwise his birth date would change every single year.

Mario is 24-25. That does not mean that he is exactly 24 now: That 24-25 was said over 20 years ago. If we were counting within the boundaries of reality, he'd be 40+. But in-universe, his age hasn't changed. We can't change his birth date to be X years ago because X years ago is going to change every year.

The age is the age, the dates are ambiguous at best.

The @BluePikmin Problem
Since BluePikmin was banned, I was sad. But when I checked out @RedPikmin95's course, I saw BluePikmin. I saw a comment from him that said, "My little brother spammmed alts so I technically got banned for not a good reason," in summary. Now, the comment isn't there because he deleted it, because he doesn't like this game. Then I had a conversation in one of my level's comments, and I told him the game is starting to get better. In summary, BluePikmin is now sort of sad, and I want to let @BluePikmin back. The level codes for proof are coming later.
