Because Nintendo aren't as good at making controllers, the joy cons are just worse or they chose to make them cheaply and somewhat lower quality.

Nin10do controllers are always different. Xbox controllers are constant. (and also work the best with windows since it's microsoft too)

In my more personal point of view, I'd switch PlayStation and Switch, I have two PS5 controllers and both had drift in less than a year, we even put one to get fixed and it already drifts again, while my first Switch Joy-Con took around 3 years to drift and the Joy-Cons I use now (the ones from OLED) still work, I have been using those for almost 4 years
