Pretty sure we went over this already, but ICYMI:
They're really different because the GBA tracks were 2D, they can't work in a 3D environment. The other games weren't. SNES gets a pass because it's nostalgic. GBA isn't nostalgic to anyone, it doesn't get a pass. Whether they're downgrades or not is very subjective, but you cannot argue that they wouldn't be like having 5 more SNES Mario Circuit 3s.

Yeah some of maps like Yoshi Desert or Sunset Wilds are full of squiggles and little unnecessary turns that were needed in GBA to make the tracks fun, but they wouldn't look very good regarding how realistic the 8DX base game aesthetic is
