The strange Mr. Pipe character in Yoshi's New Island is actually adult Mario in disguise (as revealed in the ending.) He presumably travelled through time the same way Bowser does in the final bossfight, except he didn't want to cause a canon paradox.

Fun Fact: Kate Higgins, former voice of Tails in Sonic (last voiced Tails in Lost World) voiced as Pauline in Super Mario Odyssey, and that means she voiced Jump Up Superstar and and Honeylune Ridge: Escape.

Despite not using them, Mario Kart Super Circuit has fully functional pipe, mushroom, smiling-star, UFO, and Fuzzy decorations. Also, the Golden Mushroom still works.

Fun fact: the developers of helldivers made another game series, Magicka. It has one of the best suited dlcs for any game, very fitting for the nordic theme. (It gets better the more you read)
