Why is there only 18 available cup icons when you are making a multicup?

Can it be increased to 24 or even 30, 18 is just not enough when making a large multicup, And most of the time I can not upload an image myself and so I have to go to the Mario Wiki to choose one myself, So Can't there be and "upload from computer" option? It would make sense to upload from the downloaded files you have.
