pbs kids was absouletly goated but i don't see a lot of people talk about PBS kids but i mostly see them talking about "how nick jr was goated" but nick jr has horrible shows like paw patrol and dora(2024 not early 2000)

Hop tf off Paw Patrol & Dora. Yes Nick sucks but you chose the worst shows to berate. Like, SpongeBob exists.
Anyway, is it really down? We have both PBS channels merged into one over here so I dunno.
Edit: I completely forgot that they made a new Dora, yeah that one's pretty bad. But leave Paw Patrol alone!

no, PBS Kids has not shut down however, trump signed an executive order cutting funding to both PBS and NPR, which could potentially lead to budget cuts, especially towards PBS Kids.
with that being said, no budget cuts or shut downs have been confirmed yet for PBS Kids, which is a good thing.

I used to watch a lot of PBS Kids (Dinosaur Train Anyone?) so this is kind of sad for me. However HBO Max is supplying funding for Sesame Street now and more might sign agreements with different streaming services. The NPR budget cuts are even more concerning for me because that would be an elimination of free press, which is as important as ever now. If budget cuts happen to NPR, the attacks on media probably won't stop there.

Does anyone remember seeing Thomas the Tank Engine on it? I swear when I was 4 I remember seeing TTTE on there (along with Martha Speaks, Super Why [the old version, not that crappy comic thing], and Cyberspace, in which the former is no longer airing I think, the middle has been replaced, and the latter rarely even shows and/or may not be airing anymore) and just wanna know if it was in PBS once bc I think I’m hallucinating.

Dinosaur train? I loved that show! Also, Paramout Plus did Dora wrong (Nickelodeon should have sided with Disney...), Paw Partrol: The Movie was great, but the second one, The Mighty Movie, was a sorry excuse for good television. At least the graphics were better and in 4K...

I really hope it keeps going. The same way people can look back on their childhood like everyone is doing here now, kids should be able to do so 10 years later, even if the shows are garbage (not PBS, those are still really good)

Just like how MatPat ended his game theory carrier, we just have to move on. I know it might be a little challenging to do, since this is a popular channel which entertained 2000-2010 kids, but all things come to an end at some point. Who knows, it could come back in the future, and I sure hope it does.
Tout comme MatPat a mis fin à sa carrière dans la théorie des jeux, il faut passer à autre chose. Je sais que ce sera peut-être un peu difficile, car c'est une chaîne populaire qui a diverti les enfants de 2000 à 2010, mais tout a une fin. The difference being that Game Theory is still alive and well and making great theories. It was just a host switch(and the new host for Game Theory was writing some of the theories before that point anyway + was a very large part of the channel for anyone who actually followed their content(GT Live especially)
PBS ending(which it isn't yet, just to be clear) would literally be exactly that: the channel would get axed entirely. It's not something as simple as a CEO switch.
Game Theory is like when Sony's mascot switched from Crash to Kratos. Not Sony dying as a whole.
