How do I delete characters?

So I know this question has already been answered but I still don't get it. How do you delete characters you got the add character button (I don't know what it's called) Do I do it from the character select or the character tab that opens up when u click the + icon. I read something about a red button but I don't see it at all

You got to choose another custom character, the one at the bottom will be removed then the one from the top moves down letting you choose the character you selected, at the top you can't delete a character unless if it was made my you.
