Mario Kart Tour is shutting down!?

Nintendo just announced that Mario Kart Tour services are shutting down. Shutdown is on 9/8/2026

No offense but was MK tour good? I've never played the game

I was actually playing MKTour a couple weeks ago. (Got really bored) and I realized that the game would go great in arcades. Think about it, the main goal of the game is to get the highest score on a track. The two laps make it shorter and brief for arcades, along with having controls similar to the other arcade mario kart. The aspect ratio (in portrait mode) is could be put on an arcade machine. That’s a cool idea that I had. Anyways I’m gonna miss it, but not that much (it was good for like 2 months and then got boring.)

I recently got back into the game and dim sad that it's shutting down Plus NO Offline version 😔

I know we can play the track as a custom track but I wish it was official. LIKE COME ON NINTENDO YOU HAD ONE JOB TO PUT THIS IN WAVE 6 BUT NOO YOU FUCKING GAVES UP DASIY FUCKIT INSTEAD! >

They better bring it back in world dlc or smth otherwise what the f#ck is Nintendo doing

Tour was alright. Not the best, but i'd say better than Super Mario Kart. It would have been better if you could actually control drifting and tricking. I think it would be good for a 5 dollar game on the Eshop or in arcades like someone else said. I do have a theory that this means MK World is getting DLC. If Tour shuts down, Piranha Plant Pipline becomes lost media, unlike every other Mariokart Track which there is a permanent way to play. I think they are shutting down tour now because they are preparing to launch DLC for Mario Kart World which will include retro and maybe new tracks, with Piranha Plant Pipeline being one of them.

On the bright side all items in shop that require rubies are permanently 30% off
