for me in MKPC, it would be the banana.
Bananas are great in MKPC. When you get Blue Shelled while you have a banana behind you, you will land on the banana meaning you only have to wait 1 second to keep going instead of 3.

I play on mobile on an old phone thaton is small on a moving bus so yes it is annoying, but im sure if half of that was gone it wouldnt be so bad to snake.

MK64 was good for its days, but in terms of quality now it's pretty bad, definitely far from the best MK game.
The main reason I don't like it is because of the terrible track design. There were some decent tracks like Koopa Troopa Beach, but the rest are either badly scaled or just too simple. I don't care if the game was old and the storage or whatever is small, it doesn't mean Nintendo can whip out something of Moo Moo Farm quality, and that problem occurs with a good portion of the tracks.
I understand the 'nostalgia' factor making you slightly biased, but no, it unfortunately doesn't make the game objectively better.
So my final statement is that it's not a good game due to the lacklustre tracks.

If it was a square or oval track, it would likely be deleted to avoid flooding the site with lazy tracks
