They have a lot of characters in tour that aren't in the main games. It was more of a use of nostalgia to get people who played super Mario kart to gamble their money with the pipes to try to get the character. There is a difference between trying to get some money by releasing an old character in a lootbox system to making a whole game and throwing in a character nobody gives a shit about, except older people who most likely won't buy the game

I'm not taking a side in the war but it isn't really a genocide. Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction of a group of people because of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, or race. Israel is fighting in a war and there is a high amount of civilian casualties but they aren't intentionally bombing civilians and have attempted to evacuate said civilians, which they would not be doing if they were doing such an act. Thus Israel is not commiting genocide.
