Personally I use the basic controls, it's been 7 and a half months, I've been used to it since then, and then I think that's the case for the majority of people
I don't use the default controls because I am not going to accidentally press X and look behind me.
Afterwards I don't use the keys around (I note that being French I have an AZERTY keyboard), so it's not a problem for me
Oh, well my X was next to C and V so I could've got confused.

For my movement, I use arrow keys for moving and shift for drifting and tricking. I use number pad 0 (you can use normal insert do not worry) for rear view since I do not use it so I will not be touching it anytime soon. I use Z for items, X for backwards and B for throwing forwards. I pause with Spacebar and use Backspace to quit. I inflate my balloon with Control.
Is there any competition for this game and other fan games?

I was wondering if there was any other fan games better than this. And I mean good tracks and that.
I don't know of any other fangame of this kind, but at the same time I've been there almost all the time for months, and then I'm a moderator now, so well

Peach and Daisy have the same stats. Mario and Yoshi do too. Note the characters with the same stats if you unlocked all characters.
