Mario Kart PC is IMPOSSIBLE!
On 2025-05-29 at 19:21:48
In fact, I currently have 12 out of the 14 gold trophies I need to 100% the official multicup for Mario Kart PC, and for the remaining 2 cups I didn't get gold on (Lightning Bolt and Mini-Mushroom), they both have Rainbow Road as the last tracks.
If I were to rank the official Rainbow Roads for MKPC in difficulty I would rank them like this:
3. GBA Rainbow Road (at least the turns are just wide enough for even a racer with low handling can get through)
2. DS Rainbow Road (Has very sharp turns, but at least I can SEE the outlines of the jump tiles)
1. SNES Rainbow Road (it's almost impossible to see the jump pads on the yellow tiles and the turns are also very sharp and unforgiving)

I tried to play SNES Rainbow Road on 200cc but I kept falling off the track because the road is too thin! It's literally impossible to stay on the track, does anyone have any advice for getting better at SNES RR?
I would just say git gud with reverse drifting, but if we compare the size of MKPC's SNES Rainbow Road to the size of it in its original game

Yeah, SNES Rainbow Road in MKPC is way too small to be resonably done on first try because it uses the minimap version of SNES Rainbow Road, which does not match the actual size of the track in the original game. And to a lesser extent, same goes with DS Rainbow Road.
Hell, it took me multiple months of pratice just to get the gold trophy on the Blue Shell Cup for 150cc, nevermind 200cc.
I usually main heavyweight racers with high top speeds and weight, and if I remember correctly, the Blue Shell Gold Trophy was the only one where I had to literally go down a weight class just to get it. Every other Gold Trophy I won, I used heavyweight racers.
Edit: I'm gonna add the Lightning Bolt and Mini-Mushroom Gold Trophies on the lists of trophies where I had to go down a weight class to get. I had to literally nerf my own character's weight in favor of stats akin to Daisy to beat those and get 100% on the official multicup.
Keep your eyes peeled for tomorrow night...

This is probably the most bullshit fail I ever got while practicing for online play.

Spoiler alert, I ended dead last because someone didn't bother to account for something like this when importing this track into MKPC.
If I'm not the first person to discover this and it's gone unpatched for years, then can someone please explain to me how this is fair for anyone who accidentally out of bounds, or is this just some pure evil troll Wargor made for this track?
it's not just that track; the reason you respawned at the start is because you went outside the map; which is just classified as oob and since respawn positions aren't indicated for the area you fell, the game respawns you at the start.
This allows glitches such as the SNES Bowser Castle 2 Respawn Hlitch at the end of the track.
You'd think something like this would've been patched out by now and just let you respawn at the last checkpoint you cleared. I hate when the reason why I lose is because of something beyond my control instead of just me making a bad play.
If this is patched, then SNES Bowser Castle 2's Time Trials leaderboards would have to reset.

That's what I just thought by now because I just realized "Wait a minute, what if someone used this glitch to beat a WR and I just got luck screwed by having the glitch happen at the worst time I could've possibly have it happen to me."
yeah, that's exactly it
gab ribbon road can make you lose lap count in so many ways
And to think I was gonna add Ribbon Road as my go-to for online race picks. This game is really funny in a cosmic sort of way at times. First I had to conform to the game's meta and change my main racer's stats to be a daisy clone to get my last 2 gold trophies, and now I know something like this can screw me over if I'm not careful.

Basically, I used a mushroom to speed up, but I couldn't control my trajectory due to the jump pad and ended up falling out of bounds, and then the game decides I should start again at the finish line.

Is Online Mode not available on weekends?
On 2025-04-05 at 21:33:39
I've been playing this game for 2 months now and I'm kinda curious about why the weekdays seem to easily find people, but in contrast, I couldn't get into a single match on the weekends. I'm currently attending college 4 days a week from Mondays to Thrusdays, and I don't get out until 11AM and I usually have an hour or two for errands to do afterwards and several more in studying and working on assignments, so I don't have much time to play online before I have to dedicate several hours into completing my assingments.
But during weekends, I usually have the opposite problem, I have too much free time and whenever I'm in a MKPC mood, I try to go to Online Mode, but never once did I find a room that I can hop in, even as I wait for what feels like over 30+ minutes just to find an available lobby, before giving up and just playing other peoples' courses offline.
I just want to ask if Online Mode is unavailable during weekends, or does it just really take that long to find available rooms during weekends and I'm just not patient enough to wait that long?
