I believe its to make you improve an prepare you better for world championship competitions .
It makes it hard to win races at the beggining but your hard work will pay off.
i suggest that you put the difficulty of the CPUs on impossible in order to feel like the game is easy when playing online.
Learning reverse drifting will also help you alot , i believe that it will take you a few days to master it but you will be a totaly different player.
