No, actually.
The concept for Cosmic Highway predates Mario Kart World's announcement by a few weeks.
Now I wouldn't say, "I came up with intermission courses two weeks before Nintendo did!" because in the OG Cosmic Highway, you raced around the highway instead of on the highway.
You'd go in a circle around the highway and planets, maybe jumping over it from a nearby asteroid, but it would be nothing like what we have now.
When I saw the Nintendo Direct, I thought it would be neat to reference the new game, so I just tweaked how Cosmic Highway and Rainbow Road worked.
Your concept seems like it’d be better than what they are now. You could’ve fit those things into the newer, more intermission-esk design
Lol I forgot to mention that you would've been in a spaceship instead of a kart.

While they won't be in the base game, if you choose to share it, any other user can play as your character. Also, if you make a multicup, you can customize your roster to include your character!
