bowser jr is my favorite, and luigi is my second favorite. if spinoff characters also count, then koops and yoshi kid from ttyd and dementio from spm would probably be up there too.

heya guys, been itching to talk about this somewhere. i watched the tomodachi life direct a couple days ago and ive been fixated on the game ever since lol. i am so excited to throw all my favorite licensed characters into one game and watch all hell break lose.
i think the customization possibilities in this game are amazing, from the custom island designs to even just the clothing the islanders wear. i was especially happy to see the option to pick what gender identities a mii can be attracted to, as that will probably feel super validating for a lot of people. i think the game is so charming and quirky, and will probably be super entertaining. i also think the music is on point lol.
if you watched the direct, do you have any thoughts?

Your Opinion on Modern Day Nintendo Games being called "slop"

People bring up pokemon a lot with this stuff, but Nintendo doesn't make pokemon, game freak does and Nintendo's basically just the publisher.
that's missing the fact that, well, its actually 2 games.
honestly 35 dollars isn't that bad for Mario Galaxy. Its a pretty normal price form remasters/rerelases

oh shoot, you're right man. my bad. forgot it was a bundle.
i can see your side of the argument for the price not being too bad, but i can also understand the other arguments i've heard saying the game couldn't have been too hard to remaster because of its age. i know its not too much of a difference, but i think a 60 dollar price tag would have been more fair for what you're getting. might be just copium, though- i know other companies have priced their games higher than nintendo's for a while.

I think this is a lot deeper of a sentiment than just the games being "slop".
There's no denying that people are upset at Nintendo right now, which I feel is deserved. Prices are going up EVERYWHERE which makes us as consumers feel betrayed and upset.The cost of living is going up, and that makes everything harder. So when Nintendo comes out with a 70 dollar rerelease of a Wii game or a 50 dollar amiibo, its hard to not feel at least a bit negative about the company.
That doesn't make their games necessarily slop though. I think that MK world definitely has its flaws, especially with its online, but DK Bananza looks super cool. I'm looking forward to playing it when I get a Switch 2. There are also some other games coming out that I'm excited for, like Splatoon Raiderz and the new Tomadachi Life.
I don't think the games are slop. I think it's just the poor business decisions that make it hard to root for Nintendo at the moment.
