Apparently MK Tour is shutting down...

Nintendo is apparently shutting down Mario Kart Tour on the 29th of September, after about 8 years of service.

They also say that they will NOT produce an offline version

Some information from Nintendo:
"Service for the Mario Kart Tour game for smart devices will come to an end as of 11:00 p.m. Pacific on September 29.

We sincerely thank the many players who have loved and supported the game since service began so long ago.

Thank you for playing Mario Kart Tour."

"An offline version is not scheduled for release."

ty1eerrrrr im really grateful for what tour gave us
im a sucker for super circuit and seeing some tracks like yoshi desert, lakeside and riverside park finally get remade for the 1st time was nice to see
the cities were definitely the highlight, i know most people didn't like them but i loved the idea of driving through different cities and their landmarks. hell, if it werent for mktour i wouldnt be going to madrid for my 18th
the hype from the bcp wouldn't have even happened if it weren't for tour, im glad we got some way to preserve the game even if all the tracks + variants didn't make it through
its a shame pipeline never got brought to the bcp cause I would've loved to see the track get remade (maybe mkworld can bring it back for dlc??)
all i can really say is thank you to mario kart tour and that i hope its legacy can remain a staple within the mario kart timeline

Kinsley_ I don't think Piranha Plant Pipeline will be gone forever because Nintendo can bring it back through DLC in Mario Kart World, or a future Mario Kart game. The DLC in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also had a lot of tracks from Mario Kart Tour because they want to keep the tracks from that game around. Also, I never played the game because I'm allergic to pay-to-win games, which are reasons that I usually avoid mobile games.
