Âlso how do you guys do the wave drifting thing where you keep getting boosts on the straight? In literally every time trial replay the other player is just able to cut corners I can't seem to get over without losing speed or they're just faster on straights in general T_T

Is there any strategy that will help me fall of the track less besides just playing more? I feel like I'm missing something.
I've picked up on the fact that Daisy is by far the best character due to her high handling stat but I still do horrible on Mario's Castle tracks especially compared to the others... Also is slowing down at time necessary to avoid getting onto the grass or is there always a way to circumvent that by drifting more effectively or something?
