I'd say đź‘» Ghost Valley 3 is my favourite from the base tracks. I think it plays the best with this game's physics.

DS Figure-8 Circuit, GBA Riverside Park, and GBA Sky Garden are one of the only enjoyable tracks in my opinion. The rest of them either feel too small or too boring.

Airship Fortress just represents MKPC to me; it's challenging while still being relatively easy, and it has a glitch where you can jump into the wall and just drive out into the ocean forever

Yes, the question that’s so originally asked among the players! Well, although it does say what is your favorite base game (I’m assuming they mean MKPC base tracks) I do have favorites of each one of the entries (They’re all ranked in order)
Super Mario Kart (SNES):
1. Koopa Beach 2 (Funny fact, this used to be my least favorited SNES track, now Bowser’s Castle 2 holds that title)
2. Mario Circuit 2 (I like Mario Circuit 2, because it’s simple yet it hides cool shortcuts that are easy to learn and master)
3. Rainbow Road (Certified Classic! And I also just love the music!!!)
Mario Kart : Super Circuit! (GBA):
1. Boo Lake (Most interesting layout in Super Circuit!)
2. Bowser’s Castle 4 (Unlike the other 3 Bowser’s Castle Tracks, this one feels like an actual Bowser’s Castle track. (It’s the most difficult of them all.))
3. Lakeside Park (Would’ve been ranked higher if they kept the volcano eruption gimmick.)
Mario Kart DS (DS):
1. DK Pass (I overall love this track! This is how a snow themed track should look like!)
2. Peach Gardens (The general layout is boring, but I always love how chaos stirs up in this track.)
3. Airship Fortress (Underrated Ship type of track! (I wished they added more ship themed tracks into World…))
If all 9 were ranked together:
1. DK Pass
2. Boo Lake
3. Peach Gardens
4. Koopa Beach 2
5. Airship Fortress
6. Bowser’s Castle 4
7. Mario Circuit 2
8. Rainbow Road (SNES)
