To be honest, Paper Circuit is one of the best tracks I've made so far.

sky sanctuary is my favorite track because it actually remembers that mario kart is supposed to have a track and not just 14 minutes of decoration
the layout is clean
the turns feel natural
it looks good without trying to blind me with 700 effects every 3 seconds
and the shortcuts are actually interesting instead of being
"drive into this suspicious wall texture and pray"
also the atmosphere carries hard
floating ruins in the sky is just cool
some tracks try way too hard to be unique and end up feeling like a geometry homework assignment
sky sanctuary just does the basics really well
every lap feels smooth
i always know where i'm going
and i never finish a race thinking "what was that section supposed to be"
plus sonic fans get excited when they see the name so that's free entertainment
tbh if i had to choose between a technically impressive track that's annoying to drive and sky sanctuary i'm picking sky sanctuary every time
because at the end of the day i'm here to race not to take a guided museum tour through somebody's map editor experiments
