I have a surprise for you, it has to do with Mario Kart 8 tracks
If you'd ask me, I think Mario Kart 8 started development in early 2012, likely after Mario Party 9 and The Lorax film were released. Check my profile too.
The game was planned to have a drill item to let drivers go through rocks and terrain, but it was easily scrapped due to the physics and cheating. And then along came Donkey Kong Bananza.

It has been gone for MONTHS. We have already had this conversation MULTIPLE TIMES. There was some sort of issue with the change being made for everyone, you should be aware of that by now
