alright, listen up because i need to get this off my chest
so apparently someone decided to make a multicup with literally every MK track ever, like SNES, N64, GBA, GC, DS, Wii, 3DS, Switch/Tour, and a bunch of “extra” tracks that are ???, unknown, or just chaos incarnate. and somehow this is supposed to be a collab project.
first of all, respect. making something like this is insane. just reading the track list is exhausting. it’s like someone dumped the entire history of mario kart into one MKPC map and said “good luck.” i mean… look at it. SNES, N64, GBA, GC, DS, Wii, 3DS, Switch/Tour, WORLD, EXTRA, EXTRA EXTRA — my brain is fried just scrolling through it.
now the fun part: the rules. apparently, tracks can’t be copy-pasted from the base game, which is fair. but good luck making every single track recognizable without literally tracing the original. people are going to have to actually think about layouts, decorations, and shortcuts for dozens and dozens of tracks. this is going to be a nightmare but also… kind of amazing if it works.
the collab part is hilarious too. dozens of people involved, some tracks have multiple authors, some are ???, and some have ridiculous names like squeaky clean sprint and piranna plant pipeline. i can already see the chaos: some tracks will be gorgeous, some will be absolute garbage, and some will make you question reality. basically, it’s like a giant MKPC “everything goes” simulator.
in short: this multicup is madness, it’s genius, and it’s probably going to break the site in 3 different ways. if you want to join, make a track that’s recognizable but not copy-paste, and bring your A-game. if you don’t, just sit back and watch the chaos unfold.
also, someone better make a toilet track in there or i’m personally filing a complaint.
