This guy brought so much people's childhood to life including mine! We all spent so much time playing these amazing games and hearing the fantastic voices of Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and all the other characters. It was such amazing and nostalgic moments that we went throught during all those years. But from now on Charles Martinet has been given the role of the Mario Ambassador

Since he didn't get to play mario in the mario movie that probably put him in an awkward position with nintendo. Yeah I know he got a few small roles but nothing big really.

This is NOT how VAing works, ever. He'd have to be really petty to retire solely off of that, & we KNOW for a fact that he isn't like that. It was just his age, & nothing more.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I didn't mean to say thats why he would retire. He really didn't even retire he's just stepping away from voice acting. He is going to travel around the world to take pictures and autographs for all the fans

I slightly broke down a little hearing this news. The memories of not just Marios iconic voice, but also Luigis, Warios, and Waluigis will forever be left in my head, from Super Mario 64 all the way to Super Mario Wonder (I don't know if he's even doing that anymore or if all the voices have been recorded and that was his last game)

Charles Martinet is a legend, he voiced the bros so much to the point of getting a world record for that...

It's sad to see him go, but you can't stay young forever, all people age so at some point you're forced to retire wether you want it or not.

He already voiced the bros WAY longer that everyone's expectations, his retirement is more than well deserved.
