If you didn't know (because who knows about obscure things like this) there was a file for a purple shell in the beta version of mkds. It also showed up in the item roullete. However it would not land on the shell, and if you modded the game to make it work, it would just crash.
So either the purple shell just can never be used, or using it crashes your game.

The Wacky Watch (Mario party 3) instantly makes it the final lap. (If you use it on someone that finished they have to do the final lap all over again) Btw you can only get this in 6th 7th and 8th place.

The coin has its uses, but it's still pretty bad. To make the most hated MK8 item even worse, make a Koopa Bank (Mario Party) that takes away all your coins on use and gives them to last place. It takes all the few uses of the coin and eliminates them completely, and helps the baggers at the same time.

The trap item is an item that traps players and makes them unable to move for the rest of the race
If the Bubble Flower from Mario Wonder (I'm guessing other wonder items will be in the next game on NS2) comes to Mario kart, this could be done, but more brief and only set like bananas. Or items that were dropped from Lightning
