6. I have a narrow hallway in my house where my bedroom dor is across from my parents' door. My dog often wags his tail against my door because he is looking at my parents' bedroom door and wagging his tail because he is excited. I have woke up at 3AM in the morning when he does this and the gates aren't closed.

AI is genuinely the most OVERRATED thing on the planet. It is so bad that it is overrated. It is a net negative to society. I know that a lot of people on the MKPC forum talk about how bad AI is, but it is for a good reason. I hope that there is not one day we won't know what's real and what's not because AI is developed too far. TikTok is also pretty overrated because a bunch of teens there doomscrolling FYP, and a lot of brainrot comes from it.

Anyway I don't like dogs for a number of reasons:
- I got bitten by one when travelling through urban Cambodia and I needed to get a rabies shot
- Dogs carry far more diseases than cats do, around 3 times as much, you would know that if you actually did your damn research instead of spreading your gobshite around the internet
- My mother's dog bites me a LOT and she does nothing about it
- I have seen some pretty disturbing shit that a significant number of owners let their dogs do, especially to cats
- Dogs need attention 24/7, often getting aggressive if not tended to within seconds, and I just don't have the patience to deal with another brat in my already dysfunctional family

I will say, I think with the amount of people that say dogs are overrated, I don't think they are that overrated anymore... I feel like I've seen more people disliking dogs than the opposite.
Personally, I used to have a high preference for dogs, but now I like both. It depends on the breed, and it depends on the dog or cat itself. I find some dogs to be more affectionate, warmer, cuter, I also grew up with a dog which died last summer so that definitely participated in me loving them. Some breeds of dogs, however, are made for hunting and other purposes, which first of all I do not agree with because these things suck, but also because it results in them being agressive which I absolutely despise.
Regarding cats, I like them. I think some of them are warm and affectionate as well. However, some cats tend to like... absolutely not give a fuck about you? And I mean that's fine... We could start a philosophical debate on how we as humans crave for attention and affection from everyone and everything possible but I'm not doing this right now. But personally I do like to have a close relationship with my pet. That's just me. I liked seeing my dog happy to see me when I came back from school, happy to see me in the morning, sometimes playing fetch or other stuff with me...
However, as a future college student, I think a cat would be a much better option (if I even get a pet in the first place, which I don't think I am cause life is expensive in France right now) 'cause it takes less space and is more independent.
