Whenever you are playing a mario kart game (depending which one), they feel alive mainly because the characters have voices for every thing they do. If you were to hit someone with a shell or banana, why don't they say  "oh, yeah" or something like that. Is it because of the servers or we want the game to run on low-end pcs? Or is that mkpc is based on snes mario kart?

Mario Kart PC is based off of Super Mario Kart, and also since custom characters exist it will be pointless.

If we have custom characters, why not have custom sounds. And, If the player doesn't want his own custom sound, he can use the "default" sounds, which is the ones currectly used. And mkpc has some features that super mario kart doesn't have.

Yes, I know, but personally I think, wouldn't that feel strange? MKPC is a 16-bit game, and wouldn't that feel weird with voices?

Probably it would feel strange. But they can add a sound of some sort that I (or other players) can know if our shell or banana have done their job just like in other mk games

It wouldn't be worth it. They'd have to add separate code to play "X Sound" every time somebody gets hit, which could cause issues for a game that purposefully makes itself extremely compact. And, like an earlier person said, the game is based off of SMK, so the addition of voices could ruin the charm. Oh, and they'd have WAY more issues with moderating characters, custom voices doesn't mean that everybody's gonna be civil.
