So yeah as you may or may not have noticed, I'm kinda back ^^ still getting reaccustomed to the controls though TwT
I plan on soon doing a hard reset of all my tracks, (and this account's TTs and messages) to ensure quality uploads and because I kinda need to have a fresh start after all the embarrassing stuff I said on my old account [yes this means Daisankart 2 will never be finished even though it is 15/16 tracks into development sorry!! (as if anyone cared about DK2 TwT)]. I'll keep some of the most memorable stuff and the tracks I personally enjoy the most, as well as most things that are in CTGP-PC DX since it appears to still be running
Dw though I am planning a new, much higher quality multicup with retros as well, so you won't be missing anything ^^
Anyway can someone explain to me everything important that happened since I was gone? I'm a little confused with the influx of newer players TwT

I’m not new here but I’ve been here in 2026 still active on this site (only a little though). But the site unfortunately hasn’t gotten any better. The use of message farming and grinding the message leaderboard (which there was no point of doing whatsoever) caused the counter and leaderboard to be deleted for half or more players. And there were a couple of toxic players on this site. (thank goodness they’re not here anymore 😂 ). And @Wargor hasn’t been around since the beginning of the year… but moderation is still active, as we try to make this community better.

hi there it's been a while ! tbf outside of some huge updates to the track builder, some people being stupid, and me being a girl now I guess it's mostly the same thing

As for everything that happened, well there were a lot of updates and changes here and there.
Here is the list of the major updates since after you're gone, from oldest to most recent:
• Per-lap Override Update (11/08/2024)
The track editor now allows you to use a heavily requested tool back in the days called "Overrides". This tool basically allows you to change how the track plays mid-lap on a specific Checkpoint! It's very very useful for Tour City tracks for example as each lap take 3 different routes every time.

POW Block Update (28/09/2024)That's right! The
POW Block from Mario Kart Wii has been entirely coded into Mario Kart PC!!! Just like in the Wii version, the better you time your jump, the less damage you will get!Here is a GIF illustrating all of it:

• Override 2.0 Update (31/05/2025)
Per-lap overrides is an amazing feature that allows track creators to create even more creative tracks. However there were a few problems:
- Because overrides were only triggerable on Checkpoints, you couldn't really have optional overrides that would activate only on certain conditions. At the end of the race, all the overrides would inevitably get triggered no matter what, and always in the same order, which would heavily reduce the variety of options.
- It wasn't easy to have an override that was active only for a certain portion of a track independent of the lap, you basically had to recreate the same override N times, one for each lap.
- Overrides couldn't be used in Battle Arenas.

• Rails Update (13/09/2025)
With the release of Mario Kart World introducing a brand new feature being the rails, players thought it would be great to also have them in Mario Kart PC! However they are still a bit janky and will eventually get reworked at one point.

Along with all of these major updates, there were a lot of bug fixes and overall game enhancement.
