Mario Kart 64 was a great game because it introduced Mirror Mode (known as EXTRA in 64), and Wario Stadium (not the DS one) hasn't returned yet, well as of now.
Mario Kart Wii was also amazing because it introduced Funky Kong, bikes, Coconut Mall and Rainbow Road
Mario Kart Tour may be good and bad at the same time, but it brings back a lot of classic courses even SNES Bowser Castle 3...
and the GBA courses were simplified (except for Peach Circuit, Boo Lake, Snow Land and the Bowser's Castle courses) and of course, Kamek's playable

I want it. Many people want it. You're the only person I've seen so far who doesn't want it (I'm not saying that it's only you who doesn't want it.). Just because you don't want it doesn't mean that other people don't want it. This is like saying you hope Sonic Superstars flops just because you don't like Sonic Mania when many other people do and are exited for Superstars. I don't want to shit on your opinion, your opinion is your opinion (Dispite what I posted about Waluigi Pinball in the Worst Tracks topic, I was stupid then.). Hello? These games make no money. Like it or not, the general public ain't interested, and the general public is everyone. Does changing it to "almost everyone" make you feel better? Kingdom Battle hit big, for real, and then Sparks of Hope, did poorly. If something coming off a massive success fails, what makes you think the remake of this bootleg Final Fantasy game is gonna make numbers? M&L dudes literally went bankrupt, original PM failed horribly, Mario + Rabbids seems to have died off, everyone knows that "no one", aka casuals, want it. We can come back to this in November if you feel like, to see how this goes. But Mario RPG will finally die after this, it's been a long time coming. RIPBOZO, won't be missed.
Anyway, the Sonic comparison doesn't work. Everyone universally loved Sonic Mania. They couldn't not love it, after a decade of shit Sonic. Not everyone loved Mario RPG, and again, "everyone" is the general public, the people who put others in power, the people who are affected by everything around them, the people who don't have 100% of their day to spend on gaming. If they don't want it, then it's not worth making.

I also wanted to say that because I feel like you take EVERYTHING you say as fact, which is sometimes true, but you end up being slightly aggressive towards others if you consider that they are wrong, respect exists you know ^^
Idk man, we have 20 years of sales reports to prove this shit ain't worth it. Maybe they'll prove me wrong in November, but to say a substantial amount of people want Mario RPGs is definitely not true so far, and I'll be very damn sure to say so.

The first 2 Paper Mario games are just as bad as Sticker Star and Color Splash, Super and Origami King are the only ones worth playing.

All the Beach, City, Circuit, Meadow, Tree, Rainbow Road, Bowser Castle, Water, Snow, Desert music sound similar too, over 30 YEARS. Why would it suddenly change?
Couldn't have that tried to be a little more unique, and they should've chose a different name
The name for sure, it's Dokkan Canyon in Japanese, not sure why they fel the need to specify Piranh Plant, and again, everything else ever to share a theme is fairly similar. It'd be a strange first.

Using leftover/unused ideas is definitely not uncommon for developers. It's either inspired by it, or there's just nothing else you can logically do with pipes in the first place.

Anyway, the courses' Japanese name is Dokkan Canyon. We're not sure why they called it Piranha Plant Pipeline everywhere else.
But maybe there are changes in the layout like what SKY GARDEN ?
Except Sky Garden is still a remake of Sky Garden. Whereas Dokkan Course was never meant to be found. Why would they remake a track that was never supposed to exist?

You see this new track is called Piranha Plant Pipeline, and when you see images of it :
It might be remembering you of "mobdk" which everyone speculated it would be DonkeyKong or DaisyKingdom but no !
For this, we need to go way back when the Mario Kart DS Kiosk Demo was around and more specifically : dokan_course !
