Mind staying just for a little longer so I can resolve this between you and garfield?

Before you go, I want to talk to you about the situation, if you don't mind
While I may not know much about what happened in the forum, this is not a way to handle an insult. Announcing your departure due to a single comment is quite immature and only makes people want you gone. Also, is making a player feel guilty really worth it if you're going anyway? It just doesn't make sense.

I'll rank the ones I've played:

Mario Party 8: Best game of them all in my opinion. Large amount of content with interesting gameplay and great boards, with really fun minigames with a lot of variety.
2) Mario Party DS. Love this game, it's got the best board in Mario Party (in my opinion) with an amazing story mode. In terms of content it has by far the largest variety, but it doesn't have the same feeling as 8. Still an amazing installment though.
3) Super Mario Party. Great game modes, but I wish that there were more boards in the game.
4) Mario Party 9. Decent game, but only extremely fun with friends...which I didn't have when I played this game
5) Mario Party 10. Bowser Party HARD CARRIED this game. Nothing else about it is that good.
6) Mario Party Star Rush. Uhhhhhhhhhhh do I really need to talk about this game? SMP did its gimmick much better in just one of its game modes...

Sure you were joking. Not like you can come close enough to me for the blue shell to have any effect on who wins.

I have a tendency to make long posts because there's a lot I have to say about MK-related topics. You think I'm gonna multipost?

Now for my actual thoughts on the item. I've never had any respect for the blue shell. As a pure casual it was annoying, but now I'm a lot more experienced and am in 1st a lot more often, it's a nightmare. As LuigiDawg mentioned, the Super Horn is a counter to it in MK8 but what are the chances of getting it in 1st? 1/40 or 2.5% (in a 12 player race). That's incredibly low. I get it's supposed to make the race more interesting, but the fact that the blue shell only spawns AT MINIMUM every 30 seconds, it doesn't do that good a job. It just bullies the 1 person who manages to break ahead instead of holding multiple players back.

You're not helping yourself by using the blue shell, you're helping 2nd place, a position you shouldn't be getting blue shells in anyway.

Oh, and don't even get me started on the MK7 rendition of the blue shell. Take the mechanics of the blue shell in MK8, but without the super horn. You have a fast item that has the ability to hit other players harder than other shells, when it's supposed to target a single player.

Sure, there are ways to dodge it, but those involve taking mushrooms or power items to first. If you have that sort of skill you should be far ahead enough for the blue shell not to matter.

DS Rainbow Road, no question. SNES RR is a close second, but luckily 90 degree turns are easier to make than whatever the heck DS RR decided to pull. In this game it's just stupid because of how small the track is.
As for easiest, well, it's a difficult choice. Depends on whether we're talking to play or to win. To win i find Luigi's Mansion the easiest (all the top players know why), but to play probably Figure 8 Circuit, it's by far the most fair track because you actually have a lot of space compared to the other DS tracks.

Hardest track in time trials: Ribbon Road for its inconsistency.
Online: DS Rainbow Road, one person bumping into you can end your race and your driving has to be perfect otherwise.

Time to talk about more competitive glitches!
Cheep Cheep Island: Using a mushroom near the bottom of the mini-map and jumping into the water, if done right, will let you respawn on the small platform in the middle of nowhere.
Airship Fortress: You can go out of bounds where the ramps are, but be sure to move carefully while you do so or else the lap won't count.
Luigi's Mansion: By drifting into the cannon at the start of the track with enough speed, it can push you sideways and out of the track. Same case as Airship Fortress though.

Also, someone mentioned this already, but if multiple players join a race at exactly the same time (and I mean almost frame perfect) it's possible to have more than 8 players in a room, provided there were enough players in there before the glitch occurred.

Honestly, it's not as much of a glitch as it is an exploit. The game is programmed to push you in the opposite direction to what key you're pressing (this is because it was assumed the players would keep holding forward). So if you press down, the kart slides forward. However, it also works slightly for every other item, but due to acceleration time, the hitstun is way too little for it to affect your position in any way.

Experience in other MK games: I am a part of a small MK7 and MK8D clan, and have taken part in several wars. As of now I am a top 150 Time Trialer for MK7, with the world's best 1lap time on SNES MC2, but I am still improving.

Ambitions in the league: Simply to do better than last time. CG currently are the Amateur Cup champions so I wish to keep that title, but I want to do better overall as we came last the previous season. I hope my team tries their best to make that a reality.

I personally won't get the PS5. I have nothing other than Nintendo consoles other than my dad's old PS3, and I plan on keeping it that way.
