Tbh this is the most attention a track stealer has ever gotten. And I don't think that much was necessary.
Well yes, but Ashton keeps stealing tracks and has been warned multiple times and has been banned multiple times too.
I'm not saying it's okay but y'all are just running around like headless sheeps ? What is the point of screaming around when there is an issue ? This topic was unnecessary, mods already knew the situation and you could've easily DMed them. My point is that this is just generating more and more agitation over something that could have been solved in a much more sober and calmer way, because yelling out won't change people.

Nobody cares about what he thinks, he got verbally warned multiple times and he should know that it's wrong.
I say ban him for three reasons:
1. People have worked hard on those tracks and the audacity to steal them as if they are his own tracks is beyond me. No crediting is also bad because it shows the lack of care for the creator's work.
2. If stealing tracks is not taken action soon enough in MKPC, there will be Ashton copycats that steal tracks as well. If he is banned, the MKPC community then know what happens and that stealing tracks is wrong.
3. With Ashton and others stealing tracks this leaves the real creator of the track is not happy that it was stolen and then this escalates further.
MKPC is meant to be a safe and friendly site for Mario Kart fans, not a site were people argue about who stole who's track. Though I haven't been in the MKPC community for long, I know as much as to not steal tracks. (sorry for the long message)

I refuse to see Tour as MK9. That game is SO bad and not worthy to be mainline.
Counterpoint: SMK is incredibly bad as well and still very clearly the first game. Super Circuit is incredibly bad and clearly 3rd.
Anyway, we only have a year until the next game comes out to settle this. See you all at E3

- SMK and MKSC had permanent tracks, and a clear roster, which is the case for every other MK game (DLC excluded). What I mean is that those games are quite bad but still, they follow a formula that every mainline follows, and Tour doesn't.
+ Tour doesn't even feel like a mainline.

A simple way to be softlocked is to put a small jump before a gap that is right after the starting line in MKPC. Put the jump right behind the line where the player starts, and make sure the player cannot make it,and the player will endlessly respawn right before the hole

I want to write an essay about this.
"Skill issue" might seem like one of the dumbest things you can say to a frustrated newcomer. It's literally not giving any advice to improve, it's kinda rude, and at the end of the day it is extremely unconstructive. Yet, sometimes it's just true that there is genuinely no solution other than to improve. CPUs with snaking might be very hard and frustrating at first, but once you learn the current meta, which is reverse drifting, you won't have any CPU problems anymore. Still, splattering skill issue everywhere is just as tiring as the amount of topics that complain about the CPUs. The skill gap is enormous and we cannot change that.
Also yes, it's quite discouraging to always fail when joining something. Still, it's not terribly bad neither.
