My overall thoughts about the forum lately : arguments, the good, the bad and the clueless
The forum isn't in the best state ever lately. I feel like there is a lot of arguments and even if it's okay right now, I'll address it anyways.
- orchid : his trolling definitively trigger some people. Personnally I got over it with time. Saying the n word in DMs is breaking the rules, but I do not think a permaban will be the solution since that probably means complaints from Pianta, Fways, Mudky and Kirio. He deserves a warn. Why am I not harsh ? Because it's orchid. We all know he is part of the people who won't give a fuck if we send disagreement about his actions and that he will be defended by the quatuor I named earlier. So let's sanction him a bit so he understands, and Jey will stop crying, but let's not permaban, and apparently he apologized.
- Jey is back in a complaining state of mind. He's got the right spirit, trying to stop a troll from trolling and all of that stuff, but there is no point in that. He is complaining too much and not minding his own business about the current situation. He's got the right spirit but he should adapt to the situation, and we all know orchid is gonna stay that way. Plus he's accusing without proofs and butting onto other people's businesses.
- Max is part of the problem here. Although he doesn't harm anyone in any way, the lack of confidence he has in his decisions is a problem since he doesn't take any action when small action is needed because he's scared if the criticism he will receive. He's a mod after all, even if he receives backlash, he can still take action in that case and if it's not that unfair people shouldn't be complaining. Max has got too much backlash overall but he still needs to work on his confidence about this because it's purely and simply part of his job. Knowing how and when to take action.
- Nudge is strangely evolving in a very good way. I thought he would be either agressive towards the trolls or trolling towards Max and stuff, but he's actually looking at everything in a smart way and trying to help, so his way to act is welcomed in this kind of situation to be honest.
- SCG (the bee guy) is posting a lot of irrelevant content and overreacts a lot to anything, which is simply very annoying and childish behavior.
- Cinnamon is a greag member. So sure, before coming back, his last action was one of the stupidest things ever done and you can't pretend he's a perfect guy without thinking about his past. Although his recent interventions are rather mature overall, so its a positive evolution.
- Coopa and Cringeh just chilled down on their activity and it's a breath of fresh air.

ARMYs
ARMYs are crazy in terms of s****lization, it's really crazy how h*rny y'all can be... Other than that, they are extremely obsessed with BTS and it's absolutely incredible. They are very popular but they aren't the only existing band in K-pop, their discography is good and meaningful but there's also lots of worse songs in there, and although they are self-made, I don't see much activity from them now, so it's good that they took a hiatus after all of this long time, but... Also stop being so protective of your idols, Jungkook isn't a baby anymore, and you don't need to insult people disliking BTS. That's stupid.
BLINKs
BLINKs are the worst fandom on the kpop planet. Hear me out : the worst. So sure, I don't see as much s****lization as in the ARMY fandom, but in terms of toxicity, BLINKs take every award from everywhere and they even clean up the dust for themselves. They are hating members within the group, there's so many solo stans who will drag down one member for another member, some people will scream at the mistreatment for nothing, they also done probleamtic things as a group (sadly that's a very common thing in k-pop and it's hard to tell which is bad meaning bad, bad meaning good or even bad meaning fake assumptions and rumors.) but now we are talking about the fandom. They drag every other fandom down. It's crazy. BLACKPINK IS OVER EVERYTHING. BLACKPINK IS THE BEST. BLACKPINK IS SO GOOD. BLACKPINK PAVED THE WAY. THIS BELONGS TO BLACKPINK. JENNIE IS A LAZY DANCER. MOOMOOs tend to act as if Mamamoo were the best vocalists ever, the best rappers ever, the best dancers, the best performers, the best people, the best athletes, the best actors... and they always say that Mamamoo deserves to be higher, that Mamamoo has more skills, that it's a non arguable situation, like what the fuck, dude.
Aside from that they're pretty chill.

Alright that'll be the last fandom that I will be covering today. Orbits are just people who need to shut up and touch some grass. Their sense of humor is terrible. It's all about protecting Loona =, praising Loona, dragging other groups and that action in some of the WORST ways possible. You always see "stan loona" everywhere, no matter where you are, I once saw the video of someone succeeding at saving a kid and someone commented "that person stanned loona" or "stan loona if you want to be like them" and I also saw someone saying their grandma was dead, and an orbit said "sorry for your loss dude, but maybe if you stanned loona... *with a sadistic grin*" That's terrible sense of humor. What the fuck. When some idol died or lost someone from their family an orbit said "they failed at succeeding loona". "they should have stanned loona". "well there is a solution, it's a kpop group, it's made of five letters, being l, o, n and a. Now guess what it is". Terrible...

Disclaimer : So this is gonna talk about gender identity, homsexuality, homophobia, harassing, and quite dark subjects overall.
Why the pride flag does not matter to me
To me, having a flag isn't necessary like most people from that community believe. It is just showing off and doing exhibition about your gender identity. Now I am not saying people should hide themselves like jews during World War 2, I am saying it is just mere exhibition and that it is purely superficial. One's feelings is something deeper than just walking around the streets during Pride Month while wearing rainbow flags etc. It is also your business, you can tell some of your close friends about it, but you do not need to talk about it everytime, and that brings us to our next subject, which is gonna be,
Stop identifying as the "local gay kid"
By that I mean that you don't need to make it your whole personnality - you shouldn't. Your gender identity is a part of you, but it is not you as a person. I got adopted at birth. I am not the adopted child. I am considered as someone very sensitive, goofy, but also smart at times and very kind hearted. That is my personnality in real life. People do not see me as the local gay, kpop, adopted kid, they see me as what I am, and I am happy about that. Stop bragging about your personal choices. Be proud of yourself and just look at yourself in a positive way. You don't need others to always back you up in your choices. If you want to be anything in that community (and I am going to put a warning here, I am not talking about incest, pedophilia, and zoophilia) then so be it. And be proud of yourself ! But being proud of yourself does not mean always showing off and always talking about it. It is not necessary.
Respect or support
I think that some people started to understand it. As a bi person, I don't care if you support me. Actually, yes, I really do not give a shit. I just don't want to receive death, rape threats, and homophobic remarks. That is respect, and everyone deserves it. Now a good example is present on this website,
@40KsKool68 - he is Christian, if I recall correctly. And his religious faith makes him rather rejecting towards this community. But when we talk, we talk normally, just like normal MKPC members. He does not send threats, he does not insult me or anything - no. He lives with it. He is against what I do and even what I am, but he still treats me with respect and in a friendly way. And he is a teenager. He's not a fucking grown up, that shows everyone can do it, and it's easy. With the religions, with the faiths, with everything, the LGBTQ community cannot realistically receive everyone's support, so let's start with basic respect, because some people can't even get that step so far, so we are here for a long while...
Straight parade
A straight parade did happen once and I am just going to say ; straight people are not pressured. LGBTQ+ people going on social media and showing off their gender identity does not mean they aren't a minority. There's lots of straight people around here, and nobody pressures them to be gay or whatever. Sometimes they act in a way that people will make jokes about, but I do not believe they are pressured. As every homophobic person is obviously straight, and there is a lot so...
They probably have their struggles though. Will I fit in as a "classic straight person" ? Etc. Which brings us to the next subject,
Everybody has their struggles
Just saying. I met a Christian girl the other day. She was whining on the streets and making a scene out of herself, saying she was pressured for some reason that I forgot. That same girl was seen elsewhere, preaching homophobic values and calling it the wish of God. What do I mean ? Well, de all have our struggles, let's accept it. LGBTQ people can be pressured due to the violent homophobia there is in a lot of places across the world, straight people can be pressured because they wonder if they still fit in, and people that follow a religion have to follow rules, and can also be humiliated and rejected, I have seen a hijabi girl the other day on my fyp page, and she showed that many people told her she was worthless because she was not properly wearing it when she just started to try to wear it. Religious people also tell themselves that God (I don't know the different names) doesn't want them, but that means that they might have put all of their dedication into serving God, and then other people telling them that they fail at it, that God doesn't want them etc. Nobody has no struggles to live with. The way to overcome the struggles is supporting each other, not complaining about yourself and then let out your anger on another category of people, baqically creating a vicious circle.

Well, you have it. As a man who spent hours scrolling through the comments, the comment sections there are always very homophobic and one-sided. Technically, there's no justification for them to wish death upon others etc. They can do it at home, personnally - but they decide to post it on social media - and they post hatred publicly. And at that very moemnt, even religious beliefs, etc. Can't save them. They knew they were posting this. They deserve to be reported. Most homophobic people are also arrogant alpha males, which is another problem of the current society. They are arrogant, think of themselves as way better than the other, they are influencing a new generation of confused men, they are misogynistic, stupid, annoying, self-contradicting and rude. They have no originality. It's always "W [country who kills homosexuals]" or " My respect for [...] 📈" truly ridiculous. Anyways, that's it for today lol. I think I should talk about the alpha males too, they are incels, and they think as them as the best in everything. Thzt reminds me of a Gigachad vs BTS video where even in IQ and singing Gigachad was above. The incels tend to put themselves higher than the others no matter what they are supposed to be and what they aren't.

LGBTQ+ people going on social media and showing off their gender identity does not mean they aren't a minority. Why the pride flag does not matter to me
To me, having a flag isn't necessary like most people from that community believe. It is just showing off and doing exhibition about your gender identity. Now I am not saying people should hide themselves like jews during World War 2, I am saying it is just mere exhibition and that it is purely superficial. One's feelings is something deeper than just walking around the streets during Pride Month while wearing rainbow flags etc. It is also your business, you can tell some of your close friends about it, but you do not need to talk about it everytime, and that brings us to our next subject, which is gonna be,
Stop identifying as the "local gay kid"
By that I mean that you don't need to make it your whole personnality - you shouldn't. Your gender identity is a part of you, but it is not you as a person. I got adopted at birth. I am not the adopted child. I am considered as someone very sensitive, goofy, but also smart at times and very kind hearted. That is my personnality in real life. People do not see me as the local gay, kpop, adopted kid, they see me as what I am, and I am happy about that. Stop bragging about your personal choices. Be proud of yourself and just look at yourself in a positive way. You don't need others to always back you up in your choices. If you want to be anything in that community (and I am going to put a warning here, I am not talking about incest, pedophilia, and zoophilia) then so be it. And be proud of yourself ! But being proud of yourself does not mean always showing off and always talking about it. It is not necessary.

How to properly deal with an argument : nothing is black and white !
I've been included in IRL arguments for the past few weeks, and when I was locked at home during my March's Covid lockdown, I learnt more about diverse kpop scandals, and I can tell you that there's only one way to pick sides. First, if it doesn't affect you, try to interact as less as possible ; but anyways, try to dissect the bullshit first. People are snarky. If they see a story going on, they will be tempted to bring their own cherry to the cake, which means spreading more rumors and misinformation. 2ndly, no version of a story is 100% correct ! There's very accurate versions sometimes, but it is hard to get, since the people directly involved in it are gonna be biased and be specifically focused on the other side's bullshit while external people won't necessarily get every of the facts that help dissecting the bullshit. Plus misinterpretation is a thing too, and it especially affects people when language barriers step in. For some people speaking that language, it doesn't seem too harsh, but for other people, it might sound so, and its also possible to misinterpret what people say, hence why stories are that complicated.
Social media, the truth behind it
I am saying that as a person who is always going here, which can be considered as a social media. Anyways. Some people on social media tend to come because they cant really make a life for themselves IRL, so they come here to interact with people, frequently etc. But social media is extremely judgemental ! Especially because it's a place where you can find a lot of teenagers. Adolescence is a hole in the lives of everyone, you're walking under the bombs and the line between the Good Boy and the Gone Bad (TXT reference?) is always very thin. So social media is a judgemental place, and if you don't meet other people' expectations, then here goes the backlash ! Man... you're either too skinny, too fat... if you're sensitive, you are a crybaby, if you're confident, you're a bitch, if you're cute, you're a pick me... you will never meet all of those expectations ! And even if you do, well... you'll be insecure too !
Yes, so drop your makeup pot and listen here because that's a complex one.
All of those "perfect people" considered as kings, queens and all the bullshit you want. They are actually the same, crying themselves to sleep. Because all of their life is in a phone. They are locked in there. But they don't know the pleasure it is to hangout with IRL friends, to laugh with them, to eat with them etc. Nah, because they're fitting the expectations of social media, but they are locked in there. If they do what they want for themselves, then boom ! They're a nobody again, but who's here now ?
That's why social media is no place for children, it changes its opinion at the speed of light, it criticizes all your flaws, it makes you insecure about yourself, it wants you to push everything else aside and to throw it all away, only to fit their selfish expectations, and said expectations will change in no time...

2020 : Unperfect but a good concept
I'd be lying if I said I was into memes anyways. I strongly evolved on it since... summer 2022 I think. However, the concept is fun, it's simply putting funny memes on the topic, laughing about it and call it a day. First can we think about how during the "nitpick era" (yes Pianta we left it, sorry, I didn't dare to wake you up when it changed.) this topic would never have been accepted? People would call it useless, and since the nitpick era took place around the end of 2022 (the MAIN nitpicking started here), the topic would have blown up with terrible memes. So this topic can be glad to be born in 2020, in a chillax and fun ambiance. Now I'm not saying every single meme was funny. I'm saying people were slow on it. Of course the issues were there. But they weren't too bad at the time, and I didn't care a bit about memes at that time so... (spoiler :I still don't)

Yes, because before, people used to just copy-paste memes from meme websites, which was kind of unoriginal, but it would have prevented the topic from getting a downslide that we will get to later on. However, the idea was good, people making their own memes, you think the topic would be more original if people did. It started that way, however we can't lie to ourselves and say it kept on going that way later on. Let's be honest. It's terrible now.
The Bluey scandal
So yeah. A scandal. Yup. Oh my god... when I remember what happened back in February... I swear. Anyways. The Bluey scandal. It all started simply, Bluey making unfunny memes. Making more, more, more, more, more, and more. It was terrible. I mean, it was just unfunny memes, but that added to the whines of people not liking it and not being able to unfilled the topic, and to the fact Bluey ignored and dodged the debates... Anyways. Yes. People were going mad at him and reporting him. But at the same time, unfollowing the topic would have costed nothing... Anyways. Bluey barely did anything to defend himself, and when he did, he did the silliest things possible, renaming himself to "Bluey the funny man" (yes because modesty was clearly not killing him 💀) dodging every debate and act as if we said nothing, or facepalm everything that went against him. I think that's about where I myself unfollowed the topic (I followed it after its peak, and I can't recall when it is 💀). Anyways, the situation was getting annoying, until Bluey deleted his account after a one week ban given by Max. But man, it wasn't done. It wasn't anywhere near done... we were still far away.
KirbyBoy and the blow-up
So sure, Bluey already filled the topic but also made it unbearable for almost everyone. Now it was ignoring KirbyBoy, who came later. To give you a number, Meme of the Day currently has 210 pages, which is, if I'm not wrong, the topic with the most pages on MKPC. 210 pages might seem like too much for 2 years and 7 months only. Well...
25 pages, a.k.a. 11,9% of the total countenance of the topic, happened in April only (and April isn't even fully done 💀 I'm crying rn) that's enormous and anormal, that kind of reminds me of guess the course 2, a game made by Yascamer that also unreasonably blew up in the affair of WEEKS... anyways. And let's not lie to ourselves and pretend d that it was all funny and all relevant. I can make it quick and simple. One sentence. KirbyBoy made unfunny memes and people begged him to stop. Using the "not funny didn't laugh." I mean, using it once is okay, but by repeating the same thing over and over again like a broken disk, you just look as dumb. I'mma clarify what I said. It started off funnily, reached a peak and became both funny and original. But then, a downslide occurred, the topic becoming absolutely terrible. The topic deserved 100% to be locked. And it could even stay that way for all that I could care. It, actually should. Isn't 210 pages enough ? Just let the concept breathe. KirbyBoy and the blow-up
So sure, Bluey already filled the topic but also made it unbearable for almost everyone. Now it was ignoring KirbyBoy, who came later. To give you a number, Meme of the Day currently has 210 pages, which is, if I'm not wrong, the topic with the most pages on MKPC. 210 pages might seem like too much for 2 years and 7 months only. Well...
25 pages, a.k.a. 11,9% of the total countenance of the topic, happened in April only (and April isn't even fully done 💀 I'm crying rn) that's enormous and anormal, that kind of reminds me of guess the course 2, a game made by Yascamer that also unreasonably blew up in the affair of WEEKS... anyways. I'mma clarify what I said. It started off funnily, reached a peak and became both funny and original. But then, a downslide occurred, the topic becoming absolutely terrible. Kep1er's "noise music" sound actually grew on me a lot. Sure, I still hate how robotic We Fresh can sound at times, but it's definitively a catchy song and I'm into that right now. Proof : look at my pfp. Anyways. This comeback was in Japanese. God it's boring. It's not that bad, it's just boring. I listened to it once and nothing really stood out to me. Kep1er has to do something like Up! It is definitively what people want from them. Kep1er sound is a very hard listen. It takes a lot of time to actually being able to like it. I genuinely think that if we exclude popularity, StayC is definitively one of the best 4th gen groups. They don't stick to a sound, but they don't switch around everytime and every style. So Bad was more rap based and was my least favorite, still catchy. Stereotype has a high school vibe, ASAP has a bubblegum vibe, Run2U has a futuristic vibe, Beautiful Monster feels magical... and they're not necessarily hard listens. Teddy Bear is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. It's simple but it has everything you could ask for. The first verse is a tad bit lower. It feels out of place. However, the prechorus is building up a oat to a catchy chorus. The post-chorus is very simple but it sounds really good, maybe it could have been more raw, the rap is good and feels connected, the bridge gives goosebumps etc. That's literally their highest point and people are calling this a flop ? Lmfaooo. That's a 10/10 for me.
Okay, I think I'm done reviewing songs for now. I know this wasn't a lot, yet I have more to say about kpop in general. Not the controversy because hey, its good to take a breath from this hellfire sometimes and to just enjoy the music.

The good part about their music is that it follows a storyline. It evolves. It shows the life of a person. And that's wonderful. Their music healed me a lot at times. Although nowadays, I started to go away. Why ?
- they aren't super active as a group anymore, they focus on solo works
- I'm not the biggest fan of their solo works
- It's the first group I've stanned. It's been at least 15 months now. I've seen enough.
- Toxic Armies are ruining our name
Although, I still do like it ! For example, I started to like Dope a lot more recently. Maybe because this year has been a lot of anger for me ? I don't know. Truth is, they make music for everyone, for every kind of person, and I believe everyone can find something that suits them. Their debuts are harsher. It then gets more chill, to turn into sadness, then a saga to love yourself, then a pop vibe, then chill songs. It's a comfort group to me. Really.

Alright so I'm also a fan of Blackpink. First off some of their music is good. Secondly, I feel like this is a kpop group that I can discuss about with more people : my IRL best friend, someone that secretly likes it, or even RHcks (no no lmfao you're not dreaming) or Starl. So for me their music is definitively good, and fits different expectations. A more popular and more common thing, but it doesn't quite touch me to the heart like BTS does. However, they still learnt to reinvent their sound :
- Boombayah was okay. Sometimes you just want to dance and then it's perfect.
- Whistle is underrated like hello? It's elegant, chill, nice, it's pleasant...
- Playing with fire is a masterpiece
- Stay is melancholic but I love it, it's chill, also the new YG Girl group covered it and they did so good
- As if it's your last, finally a pink song
- DDU-DDU-DU showed them as an empowerment group. However, it was okayish. Kill this love made it more emotional. How you like that made it popular, and Pink Venom made it perfect. That saga of "bad bitch" songs still evolved. So sure, it's not really deep, but it's still pretty good, and it's a pleasure to share my tastes with other people so that's why.
ITZY, we are hiding the B-sides
Itzy is a really good group and that's it. Now let me explain the title of this chapter. The title tracks are incredible. Dalla Dalla, Icy, Not Shy, Wannabe, Cheshire, Boys Like You, Mafia In the morning, Loco... really good. However the b-sides... ugh. Even the diehard stans sometimes decide to call them Bruno. It's an embarassment. Shoot was good though.

Hello everyone, welcome to a script about Mario Kart (finally ! 😄) Today we are gonna talk about the GBA remakes and how they made meh tracks some of the best in the whole series.
Ideas for potential GBA remakes
Unleashing the potential
- I think most of the Mario Kart fanbase can agree on the fact that 8DX's renditions of the GBA tracks are incredible. They literally unleash the true potential of the originals. These tracks were extremely limited since they were basically in 2D and didn't change much during the whole track in terms of visuals. However ! Nintendo didn't waste this opportunity, and decided to redo the tracks. And in 8, they're amazing. Mario Circuit, Cheese Land, Ribbon Road, they all look really good. They're almost unrecognizable, due to the antigraity, the new features, the new shortcuts...
But wait, it doesn't stop there !
The DLC is made from fanservice
- Why wouldn't we mention the fanservice that has been happening in the DLC ? We've reached a point where the scheme is predictable. There is gonna be at least 2 Tour city tracks, 1 modern track that we've never seen before, or a Tour nitro that isn't a city track, a DS remake, a Wii fan favorite and a GBA overhaul. For this one let's focus on the GBA overhauls then. It all started in Wave 1 with Sky Garden, a track that caused a lot of controversy, and we will get back to that later. In the Wave 2, we've got Snow Land, which honestly showed us Nintendo was still able to overhaul the tracks. In Wave 3, we've got Boo Lake, which showed us Nintendo can keep up the good work, and in Wave 4, we've got Riverside Park which showed us we can be on par with the base game's visuals.
And let's get back to Sky Garden before talking about those tracks.
Sky Garden, the shame of the family ?
- Sky Garden was originally the 10th track of the game, at the perfect mid point through the game. Considering this factor, it's not as hard as the latest tracks which can be really tricky, but don't get fooled thinking this is Peach Circuit floating, because this isn't. This is a track with a lot of shortcuts and sharp turns. The scenery is in the sky, on a cloudy road. Pretty creative, right ? Well, fans loved this track a lot. It actually got a lot of appreciation, notably from me, since this was one of my favorite tracks when I first discovered the game. But the remake really made some fans mad. And... pretty justified if you ask me. So basically, a person got interviewed when the Wave 1 of the DlC was about to launch. They were talking about remaking tracks so they can adapt to today's style while staying faithful to the original. Well... not really ! A lot of turns were absolutely butchered for no reason. The track was short, easy and simple. So sure, it looked way better than the Tour version,
which is literally terrible. It looks a tad more natural and detailed. And while there's some shortcuts, the charm got lost, the turns got butchered, the theming wasn't quite explored as far as it could have been done, so fans were mad.
Snow Land, the salvation
- On July 27th, they did announce the Wave 2 coming. I was super sick and had the Covid at that time so... anyways. Snow Land got me really excited. The track looked really good, it was a fair overhaul, and it met my expectations actually. So, it's not quite the overhaul Riverside Park got, but it's still very good. The track used dimensions to its advantage. So the track had depth now and looks like a stroll around a small, icy place somewhere... there is also some snowy pine trees at some point, and a lot of incredible shortcuts, which made the fans kinda happy. This track was not quite magnificent, but it was still really good and set the standards for later.
Boo Lake, nobody's booing
- What a shitty pun... anyways! Boo Lake was the GBA overhaul we've got in Wave 3. And boy, it was magnificent this time. You see, Boo Lake was a tad bit more original than Snow Land (13th track btw, based on a wider and longer Vanilla Lake but without much lakes). It was the 6th track of the game, so it's pretty early. The track was supposed to be a bridge over some spooky lake and you could see a mansion and it's muddy gardens in the background. Well, Boo Lake's remake was amazing. Everything we lacked was a bit of adventure and water. Since either way that was just gonna be another Ghost Valley or Banshee Boardwalk. The lake had to be seen, and with the modern mechanics it was actually possible. Well, there is an antigravity section with ramp, a shortcut, and it's underwater ! So the track feels spookier and more realistic now. The water also looks really beautiful here. So this track showed us how far Nintendo can go. But there's still one left...
Riverside Park, base game track who got lost in the haze of its own background
- Yes. Riverside Park has some haze in the background that I contemplated for 5 minutes. Whatever. This track looked stunning. The teaser for this arrived in January but it was for Mario Kart Tour. However, that meant there could be a high chance of it appearing in the BCP ! And it did. But, even better than we thought. Bye the plasticky visuals. The teaser shocked me and I was literally choking. The textures were actually complex, especially the rocks. The sections were like in MKT but they looked way better and that's what matters. It was kinda good but boring before ; now there is a bridge, some mud, and even a cavern where we needed it most ! It feels like a journey through the jungle now. Also, let's talk about the new enemy this track introduced, and it's the Ptooies ! Those Piranhas are circulating through the track, walking. At some point they'll jump off the waterfall. You can think they committed suicide. But no ! They will follow the current and reappear at some point around the bridge. Pretty clever right ? This track missed nothing in what it had to do. Amazing.
And now, the ideas...
- Yes, I wanna be creative! Since it's already late, I will be simple and short, but still give some ideas if any of those tracks experienced a modern glowup.
Peach Circuit : Of course, there has to be a turn in the actual castle. It seems pretty logical lol. The rest of the track would look like Royal Raceway though. It's also likely that this track becomes a natural valley with many dirt paths and rivers, until you reach the castle. It can also be done on the castle grounds. Yeah there's some options here.
Shy Guy Beach : If anything, the center would become an actual island. There would be many shortcuts, a forest part just like in Cheep Cheep Beach. On lap 3 the boat can come closer so the players can go on it and it would look line Airship Fortress and Cheep Cheep Beach at the same time.
Bowser Castle 1 : Probably a retro themed castle. At the end of the jumping section, there would be a pixelated Bowser statue to avoid, that spits fire like in SMB1, and an axe to make a shortcut appear out of the lava.
Bowser Castle 2 : Now this one would turn into numerous ships that are roaming through the lava. On the jumping sections, you would enter the actual ships, and the interior would be the same but with many traps where the lava holes are supposed to be. You'd also get to drive on the top of a ship that is sinking everytime someone starts to drive on it.
Luigi Circuit : This would definitively get an airport section. The overall weather could change and get sunnier as the track progresses. It would get a U turn high up in the sky after the glider section, and that's about it.
Sunset Wilds : So for this track I don't have much ideas. Maybe a campsite would be better, with more lights when the night falls etc. There could also be a cavern section where there is normally, the mud,
and that should be it.
Yoshi Desert : So this one has already been done by many fans. Where you can see a pyramid, make it a 3D pyramid and a ruin section. The oasis section should be like in Dry Dry Desert MK8 versions, and there may be a village around the first oasis before the pyramid (the central U-turn)
Bowser Castle 3 : I don't really have much ideas for this lol, keep it blue, maybe make the flames blue and if we're gonna add more blue then we can add Magikoopa and his job would be to make bricks

Ideas for potential GBA remakes
Unleashing the potential
- I think most of the Mario Kart fanbase can agree on the fact that 8DX's renditions of the GBA tracks are incredible. They literally unleash the true potential of the originals. These tracks were extremely limited since they were basically in 2D and didn't change much during the whole track in terms of visuals. However ! Nintendo didn't waste this opportunity, and decided to redo the tracks. And in 8, they're amazing. Mario Circuit, Cheese Land, Ribbon Road, they all look really good. They're almost unrecognizable, due to the antigraity, the new features, the new shortcuts...
But wait, it doesn't stop there !
The DLC is made from fanservice
- Why wouldn't we mention the fanservice that has been happening in the DLC ? We've reached a point where the scheme is predictable. There is gonna be at least 2 Tour city tracks, 1 modern track that we've never seen before, or a Tour nitro that isn't a city track, a DS remake, a Wii fan favorite and a GBA overhaul. For this one let's focus on the GBA overhauls then. It all started in Wave 1 with Sky Garden, a track that caused a lot of controversy, and we will get back to that later. In the Wave 2, we've got Snow Land, which honestly showed us Nintendo was still able to overhaul the tracks. In Wave 3, we've got Boo Lake, which showed us Nintendo can keep up the good work, and in Wave 4, we've got Riverside Park which showed us we can be on par with the base game's visuals.
And let's get back to Sky Garden before talking about those tracks.
Sky Garden, the shame of the family ?
- Sky Garden was originally the 10th track of the game, at the perfect mid point through the game. Considering this factor, it's not as hard as the latest tracks which can be really tricky, but don't get fooled thinking this is Peach Circuit floating, because this isn't. This is a track with a lot of shortcuts and sharp turns. The scenery is in the sky, on a cloudy road. Pretty creative, right ? Well, fans loved this track a lot. It actually got a lot of appreciation, notably from me, since this was one of my favorite tracks when I first discovered the game. But the remake really made some fans mad. And... pretty justified if you ask me. So basically, a person got interviewed when the Wave 1 of the DlC was about to launch. They were talking about remaking tracks so they can adapt to today's style while staying faithful to the original. Well... not really ! A lot of turns were absolutely butchered for no reason. The track was short, easy and simple. So sure, it looked way better than the Tour version,
which is literally terrible. It looks a tad more natural and detailed. And while there's some shortcuts, the charm got lost, the turns got butchered, the theming wasn't quite explored as far as it could have been done, so fans were mad.
Snow Land, the salvation
- On July 27th, they did announce the Wave 2 coming. I was super sick and had the Covid at that time so... anyways. Snow Land got me really excited. The track looked really good, it was a fair overhaul, and it met my expectations actually. So, it's not quite the overhaul Riverside Park got, but it's still very good. The track used dimensions to its advantage. So the track had depth now and looks like a stroll around a small, icy place somewhere... there is also some snowy pine trees at some point, and a lot of incredible shortcuts, which made the fans kinda happy. This track was not quite magnificent, but it was still really good and set the standards for later.
Boo Lake, nobody's booing
- What a shitty pun... anyways! Boo Lake was the GBA overhaul we've got in Wave 3. And boy, it was magnificent this time. You see, Boo Lake was a tad bit more original than Snow Land (13th track btw, based on a wider and longer Vanilla Lake but without much lakes). It was the 6th track of the game, so it's pretty early. The track was supposed to be a bridge over some spooky lake and you could see a mansion and it's muddy gardens in the background. Well, Boo Lake's remake was amazing. Everything we lacked was a bit of adventure and water. Since either way that was just gonna be another Ghost Valley or Banshee Boardwalk. The lake had to be seen, and with the modern mechanics it was actually possible. Well, there is an antigravity section with ramp, a shortcut, and it's underwater ! So the track feels spookier and more realistic now. The water also looks really beautiful here. So this track showed us how far Nintendo can go. But there's still one left...
Riverside Park, base game track who got lost in the haze of its own background
- Yes. Riverside Park has some haze in the background that I contemplated for 5 minutes. Whatever. This track looked stunning. The teaser for this arrived in January but it was for Mario Kart Tour. However, that meant there could be a high chance of it appearing in the BCP ! And it did. But, even better than we thought. Bye the plasticky visuals. The teaser shocked me and I was literally choking. The textures were actually complex, especially the rocks. The sections were like in MKT but they looked way better and that's what matters. It was kinda good but boring before ; now there is a bridge, some mud, and even a cavern where we needed it most ! It feels like a journey through the jungle now. Also, let's talk about the new enemy this track introduced, and it's the Ptooies ! Those Piranhas are circulating through the track, walking. At some point they'll jump off the waterfall. You can think they committed suicide. But no ! They will follow the current and reappear at some point around the bridge. Pretty clever right ? This track missed nothing in what it had to do. Amazing.
And now, the ideas...
- Yes, I wanna be creative! Since it's already late, I will be simple and short, but still give some ideas if any of those tracks experienced a modern glowup.
Peach Circuit : Of course, there has to be a turn in the actual castle. It seems pretty logical lol. The rest of the track would look like Royal Raceway though. It's also likely that this track becomes a natural valley with many dirt paths and rivers, until you reach the castle. It can also be done on the castle grounds. Yeah there's some options here.
Shy Guy Beach : If anything, the center would become an actual island. There would be many shortcuts, a forest part just like in Cheep Cheep Beach. On lap 3 the boat can come closer so the players can go on it and it would look line Airship Fortress and Cheep Cheep Beach at the same time.
Bowser Castle 1 : Probably a retro themed castle. At the end of the jumping section, there would be a pixelated Bowser statue to avoid, that spits fire like in SMB1, and an axe to make a shortcut appear out of the lava.
Bowser Castle 2 : Now this one would turn into numerous ships that are roaming through the lava. On the jumping sections, you would enter the actual ships, and the interior would be the same but with many traps where the lava holes are supposed to be.
