Agreed, unfortunately people treat tragedies like the September 11 attacks as a joke because they're ignorant to what should be very obvious boundaries between schadenfreude and being flat-out disrespectful. I'm surprised anyone thought that this'd last any longer than a few minutes, honestly. Children's social media content evolves over time and like it or not the social media content you grew up with was also brainrot, so there's no real point in bashing the newer slop that appears on social media. Of course it won't last, kids' content was always made to be a passing fad. Think of the Christmas presents you got as a toddler, do you use those things now? Chances are you don't, and it's the same with trends and humour. People don't find the same thing funny after they've seen it for long enough. These things can and do change whether you like it or not.

My personal take is that before we label Nintendo games as "slop" due to being merely expensive we have to acknowledge that corporate greed has always been a thing with Nintendo, it's just something intrinsic to being a company. As for the games themselves, hot take, I don't necessarily see a decrease in quality. The most common example everyone uses is Mario Kart World, and I'm gonna be real Mario Kart is very hit or miss for me, some of the newer ones I don't like as much as the older ones and vice versa. Nintendo has made some very good games since the debut of the Switch 2, I mean DK Bananza and Age Of Imprisonment are utterly amazing in my opinion.
We also need to consider that $80 is pretty much the standard cost for any game that isn't indie or third-party, Microsoft and Sony have already surpassed the $100 mark, after all. I don't personally think any game is worth over a 60€ equivalent I'm gonna be honest, unless the game is absolutely groundbreaking like what I assume The Duskbloods is gonna be, but if $80 is the standard then honestly it might be better to just go with the flow as a company, especially when your console isn't just a host for triple-A and quad-A games and has actually original content. If it was cheaper, then as a first-time buyer I would probably think that Mario and Zelda are third-party things that nobody gives a crap about. But they're not, they're global IPs, so $80 is unfortunately kinda reasonable in the eyes of a capitalist brand. And I'm gonna be honest, basing your opinion on a YouTube video isn't exactly the best course of action because humans are complex creatures and would probably end up checking the game out because of reverse psychology.
Now some final thoughts:
- Do I think Nintendo is greedy? Yes, but it's not just specific to Nintendo
- Have the games decreased in quality? Hard to say because the Switch 2 hasn't even been around for a year lmfao
- Are there too many overpriced ports? Certainly, but it's not like those are exclusive to the Switch 2
- Is the first-party content worth it? Honestly no, but it's very rare (if not impossible) to find something actually worth the standard cost of a console game nowadays
- Is it slop? To be fair I'd say it would be if it was just a Nintendo thing, but it's not, it's pretty much intrinsic to the gaming industry at this point
I know nobody actually pragmatic is going to pay any attention to this and I'll probably get yelled at by a bunch of simpletons for daring to not have a flock mentality instead of actually receiving constructive replies but that's my thoughts

In my humble opinion it's quite obvious, and here's why:
- Starting or engaging in political debates is against the rules (I was banned partially for this before actually) as most of the community is too young or naive to delve into constructive debates on these kinds of matters. PG has mocked members on his "make me a moderator" topic by bringing up US politics (which for numerous reasons is problematic but I'm not getting into it because I don't want to start a political debate of course)
- His name quite clearly uses the word "penis" but he changed the "s" to a "z" because... reasons, idk, albeit it's very clear (these kinds of names are banned on MKPC because obvious reasons)
- He's brought up some pretty rank things that really should not be mentioned on MKPC, especially in very immature contexts
- He's definitely not mature or respectful enough to be a moderator in the slightest for several more reasons that I've probably missed, including him being a close friend to another problematic member (not naming names, I'm pretty sure we know who I mean)

It sucks when someone dies or you lose a house, but you just have to move on and hopefully someday he/she can come back and be with us all again.
Do you still not think it's quite insensitive to say that to someone who's potentially in danger? To me it kind of proves that you only care about whether or not they can play with you anymore, not about their wellbeing. On Thursday I got into a car crash and I'm glad I'm still here but I'd be quite pissed if someone didn't ask if I was fine and was just like "so does this mean you won't be able to play Mario Kart with me?" I'm not saying this to make it about myself, I'm just explaining from my experience how something like this can be seen as majorly insensitive.
Anyway @Magpie_Jr I hope you can get out safely (or better, the fire doesn't spread to your house), best wishes to you and your family
(P.S. I'm fine, I was wearing my seatbelt and the car just skidded on black ice into some trees when my grandmother was taking me to college)

That would needlessly complicate driving which is dangerous enough as it is, not to mention we'd need new air traffic laws. And even if this was somehow regulated in time, this would make aeroplanes completely obsolete, and even if driving doesn't become too similar to piloting an aeroplane we'd need to add maglev technology to both the car and the road, which is far too time-consuming as it would require pretty heavy modifications to car models and the road, at least for this time period. Not to mention it would be obscenely expensive, I mean at launch only someone like Jeff Bezos or El*n M*sk would be able to afford it
