Strange. I've made a Vancouver Velocity downscale for MK8 before, and haven't had an issue. The only mod that crashes or sends me off course (in MK8DX) is Yoshi Valley for Battle Mode.
The Mariokart World mod (for MK8 and MK8DX) crashes as well, and it just annoys me. So... I can't help you (unfortunately...) and am experiencing the same problem.

This might not help but i have fond a way to mod meu files without any crashes so far
rather than going to games>mariokart8>content>ui'
go to updates>mariokart8>content>ui
this is because when Mario kart 8 updated from ver 1 it only supported 8 cups and 30 characters
so if you ty loading the old ui the game gets confused and crashes. im still having trouble porting kart mods from mk8dx to wii u tho.. if you have any tips
The Switch is too high quality. See if you can size down on the points, but DO NOT make it smaller. Make it less high quality.
A big problem is that porting older to newer is easy, but porting newer to older is hard. Which is exactly why direct model ports from Switch to Wii U are rare. It's time-consuming to downscale on an entire track model. (It took me a month with Vancouver Velocity because I didn't know what I was doing the first week, but got it the next.) Try recreating them if you still have trouble.

It's one of my files, and to be honest, I don't want to be toasted by Nintendo (and don't want to deal with ''IT'S NOT WORRRKINNNG'' on itch.io), so I'm just going to give up and not share it. You can try for yourself, just look up an image of the MKWorld logo, do some painstakingly hard transparency editing, and give up on the tracks.

I just want to add the fact some active people here are either too young, too imature or straight up not authorized to join social medias (whenever it's from parents or literal governments), and also while I clearly want to see more people playing the game itself, I don't want to force them to do that, tho yeah everyone please give this a try, it has good stuff, trust

I can somewhat understand your argument but that's not what this website is made for neither is it what it should be as it comes with a load of responsibilities (and maybe laws idk I'm not a lawyer) Wargor likely doesn't want to deal with. The person I'm talking to in particular is 13 which is old enough for most social media platforms in the US. Also every social media has an app so you can access it on nearly any device, makes MKPC more difficult to access than other platforms if anything. Tbh I will partially blame Wargor for the forum kid issue since this website puts a pretty large emphasis on the forum and not enough rewards for playing the game but that's a whole other can of worms for another day.
As for requiring people to play the game they're on the website for (crazy idea) I really don't see why not. Either you like the game and stay or you leave. You don't go to an Italian restaurant to order sushi, I don't see why this should be any different.
Yeah agreed, forcing people to play is not it, but at the same time the fact that people have more messages than members who have been here for years is insane to me, I'm not saying you have to play the game but y'all yap way too much.
I understand that the forums provide a sort of release for you guys but can you not say anything and everything that comes to mind 24/7? The forums are best when we don't see the most random shite like people complaining about 67, arguing about random sprite discrepancies, spamming one-word or one-phrase messages because you have nothing better to do or forming groups against members you don't like instead of reporting or just moving on with your day 💀
People need to learn to use Space For Anything more, 90% of topics can belong entirely in there, including this one. Mods don't do jack to enforce anything though. (Report button does nothing lmfaoooo)

I completely agree with you. The forum is infested with toxic people.
Okay, there are some pretty toxic kids (some young adults too but at least they have sense enough to know what to report...*hint*SonicEXE*hint*) but I'm going to be honest and say I was pretty toxic under the username ShortBugYT, but I have changed for the better, I don't know why people keep bringing the past up. I don't think I was that bad of a user as the kids of today are. I didn't spam the same word not once (although I did spam unintentionally), and most of the time I crashed out while I was sick or ragebaited. (like by the following person...)
