MKPC State of Inactivity
On 2025-04-08 at 15:12:25
There always seems to be a short period of time where there's a ton of stuff going on, and then a long stretch where there's nothing. And there's no knowing how long either of those stretches are gonna be.

Did Anyone Else See That Switch 2 Direct Leak?
On 2025-04-01 at 13:59:46
I don't know who was able to catch it, but a few hours ago, they accidentally released the Direct early. No clue how it happened, but the fans are going nuts. Obviously, one of the games revealed was that new Mario Kart game that was teased, and I am... honestly speechless. I'll post the trailer below so you can watch it.
Sonic Racing Crossworlds

The modern Sonic Racing series only has 4 games counting CrossWorlds.
THEY'RE NOT GIVING THIS TRACK THE

I think that Roulette Road is just the SNES Mario Circuit 3/Rainbow Road (as they appeared 5 times in the mainline Mario Kart Games (Tour included))of the Sonic Racing series, they also need to bring courses from Sonic Drift 1+2 as well as Sonic R.
ok a track from sonic r might make me get the game LOL
Apparently, the teaser for Team Sonic Racing made people think they were getting a Sonic R successor with the way the R was written. I know it's never gonna happen, but I would love some R representation here, or even an expanded remake in the future. Make 3 separate versions of all the tracks, make Shadow, Rouge, etc. playable, give us the best Work It Out remix ever, it would be amazing.
Wait, were we talking about CrossWorlds?

I'm considering making an MKPC port of this, but I'll have to wait and see how much anti-grav there is.
Are any words banned from forums/comments?
On 2025-01-27 at 22:43:52
On the other hand, some websites like Scratch and Animal Jam block bad words. Animal Jam has the ULTIMATE collection of blocked words!
So which side is MKPC more like? Bad words banned or not banned?
As someone who's been in and out of the AJ community...
THEIR LIST OF BANNED WORDS MAKES IT NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE COHERENT CONVERSATIONS
No matter what side MKPC is on (from past experience, not banned) be glad it's not frickin' Animal Jam.
You shouldn't be glad. Animal Jam says the following message:
Use kind words!
Animal Jam does not tolerate any inappropriate, bullying, hateful, or bad language.
Maybe I SHOULD be glad because I'm allowed to say BASIC NUMBERS on here.

Sonic Movie 3(And 4(IYKYK))

Is it weird that I'm always hyped for new character reveals when I know I'm not gonna watch the movies anyway?

About the new Smurfs trailer

Bro, this movie is literally just "Give us money! We have Rhianna!"
Change my mind.

Mario Kart Switch 2 Retro Course Bingo!

I'm betting on no Retro Tracks this time. It's sad, but it's likely.

A Roblox game I tried to kickstart a couple years ago
Name: Roger Mines’ Grand Adventure
Genre: Action/Adventure Platformer
Origin: A few years ago, this was originally going to be a fangame featuring the Koopalings from the Super Mario series, in a version of Mario 64 that reverses the roles. Players would have to rescue Bowser from the clutches of Mario and his friends, using the different abilities of the seven Koopalings. However, after I got reminded that copyright strikes existed, and that there was a similar fangame called A Koopa’s Revenge, I scrapped that game, and decided to make a character of my own. I looked to the artstyles of games like Sonic the Hedgehog, which is insanely popular, and Animal Jam, which was my favorite web game growing up. Soon, Roger Mines was born.
Story: Roger Mines' Grand Adventure takes place in the modern day, in the Kingdom of Skalania, a kingdom of floating islands high in the sky. All of the islands are connected by a system of bridges, and they all connect to a larger central island that is home to Skalania Palace, where Queen Lashandra resides. The central island is also the most populated by citizens. In this kingdom, hundreds of anthropomorphic animals coexist with each other, and come from all walks of life, from rich to poor, from supernatural to super ordinary. One day, a giant falcon named Akila, queen of the Kingdom of Avianta, comes down from the stormy clouds to destroy the bridges, and unleash an attack on Skalania. With the kingdom in danger, the people turn to a well-known adventurer: a wolf named Roger Mines. He lives on his own island, and is always exploring the secrets it holds. The citizens figure that his adventurousness will be a great benefit to them, so they send him on his way to give the crown back to Lashandra. Unfortunately, he only starts his journey with the shovel and flashlight that are in his pocket.
Gameplay: Controlling Roger, the player must dig holes into the ground to reveal legendary artifacts that will help him to defeat the enemies in his way, as well as portals that can carry him across islands, and to Akila’s castle. However, these portals have to be unlocked by collecting a certain amount of Bean Bucks, (working name,) which are paw-print-shaped tokens that can be earned by defeating enemies, completing tasks, and finding them in caves. Each island has two portals, with each one leading to a different level. Some take him forward, while others take him back. Once the player reaches Akila’s Castle, they must beat her in a boss fight to finish the game, and restore peace to Skalania.
I'm taking a computer science course in college if I get accepted, and potentially game development, so maybe this isn't the end for the game quite yet.

Trying to make a Toadette Circuit with a section that opened up a secret route if you entered it. We were still trying to figure out the whole override thing, but I eventually got it working. But then after they updated it to allow the music to change, it kept restarting every time I crossed an overlap trigger while playtesting, so I just gave up. It's probably still sitting in my storage somewhere.

I don't know if this is a pointless topic or not, but in preparation for my Switch 2 Direct stream, I'm doing some practice streams leading up to it to make sure my streaming skills are on point. If you wanna come join, (I don't exactly know what the plan is right now,) my channel name is The 1-UP Club, and the stream is called "'Sup, Guys? Jake Here- The 1-UP Club's First Stream". It starts in a little over an hour, so I'm sorry to spring it up on you so fast. But if you're interested, I'd love you have you join. (You might even get a face reveal from me.)
